The ACC would take them in a nanosecond. Would give Notre Dame more incentive to go all in and would completely lock down the east coast for the ACC. That said, never going to happen.

If they actually wanted to leave they'd be in the ACC the next day. It would be a perfect match academically and PSU would be an excellent addition in football given time to recover. Four years from now the ACC would feasibly have PSU, VT, Miami, Notre Dame, FSU Clemson and possibly even UNC as top 25 programs. Wouldnt be so shitty anymore

I think he was suggesting ND would go in with PSU as a full member.

Most fans are smart enough to know that the advantages (see $$$$$) of the B1G outweigh the ACC. But if it were purely a decision based on sports and sports alone, I would love to be in the ACC. Pitt, Cuse, MD and VA are all very close and VT, BC, Duke, WF, NC State and UNC would all be drivable. We have history with half of those teams and playing ACC teams in general is appealing for a variety of reasons.

They aren't stupid. There is only one team that they would take before PSU and that would be ND. After that, no one brings what PSU does regardless of our basketball team.

I said four years from now. And this is all hypothetical. But if in four years PSU is in the ACC (however unlikely) then ND would almost assuredly join in full as well.
And sneezing at Miami is foolish. They look like they are about to enter nuclear winter but that's a program that is a solid HC that moves them forward in a linear fashion away from being a top 5 program at ALL times. They are an island to themselves way down there and on their island is usually 2 five stars and 25 four stars a year and about 50 three stars that any one of them could turn into an NFLer. It's sickening.

Penn State is ranked third on Forbes list of most valuable football teams. We arent leaching a dime off of anyone.
We are valued at $100 million (I am assuming that Revenue) to your $78 million.
We made $53 million in profit last year to your $26 million.

If it's not ND (which I am not so sure they wouldn't join if they knew that this was IT for the ACC), I would think that the final school would be between Rutgers, UConn and Louisville. Personally, I think that Louisville would be the best bet there. Lots of momentum right now with that athletics department.

Let's be honest... there would be no BTN if it weren't for PSU. We have the largest dues paying alumni association in the world, over 500k living alumni and we are the predominant university in the Northeast. If you think that we are taking more than what we are worth to the conference, you need a psych eval.

I hope PSU does leave the B1G. & yes the ACC would snatch them up in a heart beat & yes ND would join full time. ND & PSU could revive their old school rivalry & it could be a huge Thanksgiving weekend game. As a traditionalist I would love this.
