  • Many social psychologists make a nice living for themselves in governments, think-tanks, corporations, etc. precisely because humans are just not that hard to manipulate. Understand how people think, and learn their motivating factors and its pretty easy to mould candidates to a message/ideology. Political focus groups are basically a forum for "what do you want? And what do you want to hear?".

    I would agree with the jest of the article. Sometimes we have to step back and be just as self-critical about our own knowledge and opinions as attacking others. Be just a little less arrogant in our personal judgements.
