That's bullshat. Alabama fired Mike Price and he was destined for greatness. We care.

Is it safe if Arkansas is a marginal bowl team in 2 or 3 years?

not sure. But the athletics dept as a whole has improved a ton since he got there. Also got approved 300 million in funds for upgrades.

I am pretty sure an CEO of an Fortune 100 company would be forced to resign if did the exact same thing as Bobby did. The SEC changes things a bit, but there comes a time where morals have to take precedent over winning. Arky should be able to hire another Coach who isn't completely void of any moral values and still win.

To be clear, I'm not saying that Arkansas did the WRONG thing, i'm just saying that Arkansas did the SURPRISING thing.

I don't claim to be an expert on all things corporate but I don't think it's a given that a CEO would get fired under the same circumstances. Would a CEO of a company that is declining in profitability and failing to meet projections get fired? Yes. But would the CEO of a company that is growing rapidly, and crushing projections get fired over something like this? I have my doubts.

IF there was a national eye on that company and that CEO...and IF he left that company WIDE OPEN for the biggest sexual harrassment suit in history, then yes, he would get fired.

I agree with Barton...if that CEO was making money, he would survive.

That said, being a coach is a completely different thing...you are supposed to be a 'leader of men'. No? I mean, that is what bothered me about the JoePa thing (no, the two things are not equal). But you are held to a higher standard as a college coach...if you don't like that, find another job.

Well it really depends what type of company we are talking about. Say we talking like BofA, Goldman Sachs something of that nature, 100% he gets canned.

If the guy is like Steve Jobs or something maybe not, but Arky is leaving themselves open to some major lawsuits.

I am surprised to an extent, but like I said I don't think it is all that surprising.

Petrino couldn't recruit worth a lick after this came out IMO. How would he talk to recruits about accountability, family values etc?

AD would have put up with all day long if it hadn't become public knowledge.

Lets not pretend that morals exist in college football.

this^^^^ it becoming public made it an issue. The media would be a constant distraction the University and the AD himself would just look really bad.

This. I really thought they woud see past it. Only thing I could think is that Jeff Long was going to punish him and he wouldn't accept those punishments.
