would be a set back for any program to lose a coach like Pet but really think Gus would be as good of a coach down the road

friend of mine that works for the university ( who probably doesnt know crap ) says that its really close as to whether he stays or goes and it really depends on getting all the facts of the story and making a decision after all the facts are known ... how about that for some inside scoop ...

Pitino didn't hire the chick for $55k of the states money, lie to his boss and probably the police. Plus Pitino is a better coach.

I don't know how Bobby can sit in a families living room with a straight face when he lied to atl, cheated in his wife, lied about that, messed up another marriage and has 4 kids.
Also, if a divorce is on the way from the wife, there's no chance he stays.

depends on how the pr fallout is handled and how quickly his image is restored. petrino was shaky at best for accepting the auburn job in 03, then backing out...the way he left atlanta essentially made the arkansas job important in terms of him having to be on good behavior...well that has been shot along with anything positive...

Yeah, no doubt those are solid aggravating factors.
But then again, Louisville and Pitino were able to successfully soft sell the rape allegation aspect of his situation, and of course, the abortion he paid for, as well as the extortion issue [which I suppose made Pitino the "victim"] which played out over an extended period via a Federal court prosecution
I wouldn't underestimate the ability of a big time athletic program to turn a blind eye to the moral failingsof a coach that wins like Petrino; CFB = Bidness...Big Time Bidness
