Re *watching* games, I would substitute "appearance(s)" where you wrote "reality".
Anyways (just to have a broader understanding of your opinions of FSU's OL, e.g., player talent, coaching abilities, etc.) where do you expect FSU's OL to rank in 2013 and 2014?

Yes, FSU had 4 losses in 2011, but only 1 (OU) was not close (read: > 7 points). FSU lost 4 games by an average of 5 points--no blowouts (see 2011 ACC champs for comparison.) And we were plagued by injuries at *every* O starter position.
And FSU returns 18 starters, will have one of the best Ds in the country, has a 5th year Senior QB, has 7 legit WRs & has a weak schedule. Don't forget about our STs.

well every OL who will see any PT at all this year all has *some* game time experience. And don't forget who our OL personnel practice against... the best DL in the country.
I definitely don't think your doubts are unreasonable, but I'm not worried about the OL whatsoever (as long as they stay relatively healthy). I see us taking a big step forward on the OL this year. Remember how good our OL was in 2009 when it was composed of true Sophomores (Datko, Sanders, Spurlock), except the 2012 sophomores are more talented than the 2009.

I honestly think you guys could get hot and get there.
That's basically all you have to do because from there, it's who shows up that night prepared after a month. Good teams fall flat on their face all the time in the NC: LSU '11, Texas '09, OSU '06, OU '04,

Sorry, our OL has never been all that good under Trickett. He improved it some, no doubt. Jimbo's first year was probably our best for OL, but they had tons and tons of experience. They were still small and could get manhandled at times.
Please, for your own sake, don't get too confident about this team while Trickett is coaching the OL. You will only be disappointed. I still think we win the ACC due to weak schedule though.

With a competent OL and no injuries to key players, FSU could have easily have gone undefeated heading into the ACC championship last year.
Almost Half of EJs 40 sacks were the result of missed assignments among a young OL. It wasn't a case of them getting physically beaten every time. With another year in the system for all the OL on the roster, it isn't impossible for the OL to drastically improve.
So it isn't ridiculous for anybody to talk of FSU as a legit title contender given the schedule for this season.
EJ isn't Cam Newton but he doesn't half to be when you have a elite defense, which FSU has.
75% of Steeles MNC picks finish the season in the top 5. Obviously luck plays a key role in 1-2 games a year for any MNC team, but if Steele picks FSU, it at leasts means FSU is probably a legitimate top-5 team.
Its amazing how shell-shocked some FSU fans have become. FSU will be very good this year, so just accept it.
IF LSU can play in the MNC game with such an embarrassing offense, why can't FSU?
Its not impossible.

lol at you homers, so god damn clueless
Shell shocked ? Get out of here bro, you are a homer and some of us aren't
Drastically improve ? Did you watch the spring game ? Our OL is still pretty terrible and a few injuries and we are back to playing bums who aren't good at all
We have 5 maybe 7 players who are capable of playing right now and playing average to well
That is a pathetically low number

The FSU oline was good in 2010.... other than that under Tricket ( don't care what stats say ) was pathetic.... games are won and lost in the trenches and the dline is ready and has been ready.... time for Tricket to earn that check.... oh and also I can't stand zone blocking another reason I say Tricket is on a short leash....
