    Exactly my point, if somehow they were to manage to go undefeated (which we all know that wont happen) they would get spanked in the National Title Game.. They always manage to lose to one of the ACC bums, and I think they lose to either Clemson or VT, I dont think they will lose both of those. And then there is that game in November against them Gators, and IF, and thats a big if. IF, Our offense improves and our O-line lives up to its billing from the spring, were gunna give you a run for your money..CANT WAIT (Bart Scott voice)

    Pretty sure that was the ACC record for the first 7 or 8 years for FSU

    UVA and NC St were the only teams to beat us during a 7 or 8 year stretch

    Wrong and right. FSU going unbeaten will put it in the MNC game, because unlike 99% of other programs, FSU's football program has brand equity. I think you are correct, however, in believing that FSU will not run the table this year, even though it has the defense in place to get the job done.

    IF USCw and LSU/BAMA go undefeated.. FSU is the odd man out.

    You're assuming our offense won't improve as well. Our OL was also our problem and we are hearing the same things you guys are about our OL's improvement. If and its a big if, FSU's OL is able to block then we could be a very good team. We already have a top 3 or 4 defense with one of the best DL in the nation and a wealth of talent in the secondary and we return the most players as any team in the nation.

    FSU goes as far as their OL takes them. They have a ton of talent but the OL will be their crutch or their backbone this year. I think they have a really young OL again this year, watching the bowl game they have talent but are really young.

    This comment resembles others (won't name names) which ultimately are reducible to: *we don't know*. That's a legit opinion, but people like discussing predictions... by offering reasons for/against, etc. If you think there is too much indeterminacy in pre-season predictions, that's cool.... move along....

  • More info on Phil Steele for the Noles: #FSU‬ #1 overall, #1 DL, #3 WRs, #3 LBs, #7 DBs and #3 STs.

    IMO the LB ranking is (way) too high; and the DB ranking is a tad low; and #3 WR probably also surprises people, but we have 7 legit options at WR, although we clearly don't have the best 2 WRs (see Clemson, etc.)
