Not sure if serious. Kentucky by miles.

Syracuse isn't even second. UNC much more talented player by player.

  • Syracuse has some serious talent and they are very disciplined. Scoop Jardine, Deon Waiters, Fab Melo, Brandon Triche, Kris Joseph and so on. This guys can really ball and this team is deep

They are talented but nowhere near either Kentucky or UNC.

UNC- Barnes, McAdoo, Henson, Zeller, and Marshall lottery picks when they enter draft

Kentucky- Davis, Jones, Kidd-Gilchrist, and Lamb all lottery picks.

Syracuse has some guys, none are going lottery.

Syracuse no doubt, but UK could take advantage of their weakness.

Are we talking talent or who is going to win a game?

Syracuse is a great team, they just don't have the talent those other teams have.

  • I feel that in a tight game Syracuse will win. I don't care who is going where in the draft. Im talking about one game, as a team. Entire roster

Both. UK only has two guys ,Jones and Davis that will make an impact in the league. They are the only legit lottery picks on the team. Kidd-Gilchrist is overrated imo and Lamb is a role player at best but both will most likely be drafted pretty high anyway.. So yeah top to bottom Syracuse is a better team. Davis is the difference, he gives them a advantage but I think Syracuse beats them when they play for the title.

Eh I still take Kentucky. Big East is pretty weak this year, Syracuse still really hasn't had that impressive of a win IMO.

I'd take UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, and Mizzou over Syracuse in a game.

Lamb is going to be in the league a long time with his shooting. Kid is a knock down shooter. MKG is sort of a tweener, but I won't bet against him being good in the pros. He just knows how to play basketball.

Syracuse going to get exposed in the tourny. Big East blows this year.

  • UK has more talent. If they meet in the tourney I'd go with SU. UK has a problem with teams that run a good zone D.

UNC matches up really well with both teams. Kansas, not so much. Mizzou has no chance with either team. Mizzou has no inside game and their style of play plays right into the hands of a team like the Cuse with the shifting 2-3 extended zone.

A lot of good shooters have long careers as role players, I think Kidd needs to come back for another year then he might be ready. A good player but he could benefit from another year of college ball, but since the draft pool won't very deep he would definitely be taken in the first this year.. Yeah the big east does suck this year but the SEC isn't much better, UK won a few games that I'm not sure they would have won if they hadn't played in Rupp. They are the two best teams this year by far.. I wouldn't be surprised if Indiana made a nice run as well and gives one of those two a scare

I wouldn't count out UNC either. If Barnes and Zeller play well, and Marshall and Henson stay out of foul trouble they are best team in nation.

True ,that's who I picked to go all the way before the season started. They've been a huge disappointment

They don't force feed Barnes enough IMO. Fugg giving the ball to Henson. Just force it to Barnes and Zeller until they are in the flow of the game. Henson can get looks outside the offense, Bullock, and Hairston just need to launch when open.

  • If they played, I think Cal would be smart enough to know that his best chance of winning is dribble penetrating the 2-3 zone and dishing it to Jones and Davis for easy baskets. taking long range jumper is only playing into Jimmy B's hands. Even if Cal did execute this strategy, Jimmy B will make the adjustment. Plus, we all know that Cal's teams in the clutch of tournament games choke something awful. UMass 96, Memphis 08, Kentucky 10
