A Bartlesville High School student is in custody on charges he plotted to bomb and shoot students at the campus auditorium on the same day that 28 people were shot and killed at an elementary school in Connecticut.

Here's the issue. He isn't thinking normally. It's not his fault that chemicals in his brain flow differently than yours. Normal people don't wake up and decide to plot murders. Treat the disease, not the symptom. If you don't have it in your heart to see past the disease and see that maybe there's a boy who needs medical treatment, you need to change the way you're thinking.

No, you're using it as an excuse. I don't care if people are "sick" when they commit murder, they deserve to be punished like anyone else, not get a pass because of an excuse. The people killed, do they get to be "rehabilitated?"

Clearly you didn't get the whole rehabilitory aspect of psychology. Put them in a group home, not a damn prison.
