  • I'm intrigued you guys have us getting VH. If Stoops gets a HC job after this year and takes DJ Elliot with him then we likely do hire VH Sr and Junior would be a near lock.

    Exactly what I was thinking. I also don't necessarily think he will end up at USF if dad is there, but if dad takes a job at an elite program I think he would be a lock there.

  • Only way FSU gets VH3 is if they get his dad. Right now if he doesn't go to USF then he is going to UF.

  • Hargreaves is USF bound unless Pops moves on. The only other school in Florida he could possibly commit to without Pops being there is UF. His sister is at UF and he really likes us but Dad being on that USF staff is too much imo. There are others who feel he ends up at UF anyways.

    FSU fans are taking alot for granted saying that "IF Stoops moves on and IF he takes Elliot, and IF we hire Hargreaves father, then we get him."

    I do think FSU ends up with Mackenzie Alexander though, who is a much better prospect imo. In fact, he's the best CB in the country this year.

    We aren't predicting, we are just describing the sole situation that would lead us to getting VH.

    And fwiw, I'd say Stoops/Elliot leaving and us stealing VH Sr is more likely than not. Greg Hudson will be our new DC and if he needs a DEs coach it's MOST likely he goes after Vernon Sr and obviously Vernon would say yes instantly.

    Def agree that it's unlikely, but if we recruit his mom this upcoming visit and convince her the drive isn't that bad he will be a Lion, all depends on mama Johnson.
