I love Great Danes and like the off colored one's better than I do the Harlequins. True gentle giants and don't need as much exercise as you would think. I have a buddy that breeds them and I love them. Every time I go to his house this dog will sit his ass on the couch and stand with his arms on the floor at the same time. Great and I mean GREAT dogs.

It is all good man lol. He is pretty big but keeps getting stomach worms(And has heart worms....) so he can't really get about about 100 pounds. His dad though.....you could confuse him for a great dane or something lol. He was enormous. Weighed about 135 or so.

You might really want to look at that. What are you doing to fix it? I rarely take my dogs to the vet anymore because it's overpriced BS. I honestly mean that. If you go to Tractor Supply Co. you can get exactly what the vets give your dogs for about 20% of the price. My wife's sister is a vet from out of state but she told me that her office buys their stuff from Tractor Supply Co.
If your dog has worms go in and get you a $40 bottle of Ivermectin. Your probably going to need a little more than that and need to see a vet for heartworms but that is the best worm prevention medicine you can get. Look at the active ingredient on the heartworm box that will cost you $80 for six months for a dog your size. The $40 bottle of straight Ivermectin will last you damn near three years if you don't let air get to it for half the price and is more potent than the shit the vet sells you. It also works on any other type of worms your dog can get.
Also for others that are struggling to provide the shots for their dogs or whatnot because the vet will charge you $50 just to check your dogs heartbeat and clip their nails, Tractor Supply also sells all the shots you need. Now that I breed them I have found this will save you hundreds per dog if you keep them. First shot is a 5-1 shot and the next three given in three week integrals will be 7-1 shots. After that you can take them to the vet to get a rabies shot that will cost around $16 if you tell them to skip the physical. All they do is check your dogs pulse, clip their nails and weigh them. They charge you serious money for that.
P.S. The ivermectin will say it's for cattle and swine but it doesn't take much. It will also come in a package that will make you think your supposed to inject them with it but don't do it with dogs. All you have to do is literally give them, depending on weight, about 0.2 mL a month and you won't have worm issues. If you go over it's really not a huge deal. Pits and Bull Staff's inherently have issues with mange and I have had to give them over 1 mL or more a day for over a month so it's not going to kill them. There are a couple of breeds that don't do well with Ivermecting but can't remember them so check that out as well. I believe they are the Lassie type dogs but don't quote me on that.

those of you with English bulldogs, have you had any medical issues? I want an English Bulldog, but I keep reading that the medical costs of them are just outrageous, and since I'm still a student I can't afford to have a dog in and out of the vet.
