Seriously though.....as long as you have Meyer, does Hoke really scare you either?

Frankly, the only thing that would worry me if I was tOSU would be if Penn St and BOB didn't have to deal with sanctions.

A dominant tOSU hurts Michigan recruiting too much, IMO.

Except for the fact that Meyer isn't hitting Ohio as much as Tressel did. Meyer is focusing on a lot more nat'l recruits than Tressel did, allowing us to swoop in and pickup some quality Ohio players. So it doesn't really hurt us.

you hope a coach you haven't beat stays at FSU forever ?

Free shoes barely beat USCe with our QB drunk past curfew the night before the game with multi girls in his room. We lost our best player in the 1st quarter and the drunk threw 3 picks. FSU is garbage and is less relevant on the national scale right now than USCe.

Your QB that was drunk sucked regardless, and FSU bitched your pussy ass RB Lattimore with a 150 pound CB... that is why you lost your best player, cause your best player is more fragile than a female at 8 years old

Oh and I keep forgetting that it didn't matter FSU was without its starting first round QB

Clearly only the players that USCe didn't have matter right ?

Ha Ha Ha, what happened in the 16 out of 19 games that you lost to FSU all time ? was your QB drunk for those games too ?

If FSU is so irrelevant compared to USCe, then why does FSU smoke USCe in recruiting every single year ?

Using our teams record against neutral opponents since that game we come out on top. I said more relevant right now. Turn on EsPN and who are they talking about?

As our boy Spurrier says "those who live in the past die in the future, next caller" fsu is going no where in the ACC conference with it more than likely blowing up after this year. Hope you can afford to travel to Texas/kandas for multi games a year.

    Lolz at this post

    You have one player, congrats

ESPN is talking about Clowney, nobody cares about USCe and nobody thinks they can win it all because of one hyped DE

And you clearly aren't more relevant right now, if anything USCe and FSU are on the same level and that is the next tier of top teams after Bama

USCe ranked 8th and 7th in both polls, FSU ranked 10th and 8th.... I fail to see how this makes you more relevant right now.... especially when the majority of elite recruits are picking FSU more than they pick USCe

  • Vegas has
    usc as 15/1
    Fsu at 40/1

For shot at the national championship. I think we know who has the tougher road and I believe they factor tht in. And team recruiting rankings aren't actually an exact science. See you tmw

I have zero doubts that FSU would roll USCe by at least 2 TD's, don't care what Vegas thinks in March

Your top to bottom talent is nowhere near FSU's right now, outside of having the best player.... FSU would likely have the 7 or 8 next best in a row

You guys couldn't even beat EJ Manuel as a backup sophomore blank

I would say you don't really know if it hurts yet, IMO.

Hoke has to have some sort of measurable success in the B1G and/or against tOSU with Meyer before you say it doesn't.

If Urbs is bringing in better talent nationally, then that just makes it tougher, IMO.

If that's true, I'd put money on FSU. Don't think they win it, but at 40-1 that's a huge steal, IMO.

Just to add my ideas to the argument, I wouldn't take SCar at 40-1. They can't get out of the SEC, IMO.

Who cares where you get your talent as long as it's, well, TALENTED! If Urban can dig into texas, cali, florida, georgia and louisiana and pull out better, than why not reach?

He should. I didn't say he shouldn't. I was saying if he's taking most of the top Ohio guys and getting a handful nationally that it's even tougher for Michigan.

Honestly, it's not really like that. Michigan's rankings with Meyer as head coach have been 9th and 5th. That's also with ND recruiting its ass off and having a good year.

We aren't really competing with Meyer head to head on as many guys as you might think. Not on QBs, not really on running backs (at least according to bucknuts, who 'passed' on Derrick Green), and we have battled for elite WRs but neither of us got them anyway.

We'll battle for top DL talent, OL talent, DB talent, and certain LB talent. They've won some, we've won some.

None of this is different than when Tressel or Cooper, except Meyer is spending a lot more time in Florida, Georgia, Texas, etc. than the first two. It's not like Meyer is making miracles happen if he pulls a bunch of talented guys from Glenville and SVSM this year.

Well Meyer has only coached at osu for a year, so it's WAY too early to call OSU "dominant" like you did earlier IMO.

When I said it doesn't hurt, I meant if Urbs is focusing more on the nat'l scene, it allows Michigan to get more Ohio prospects. There is less of a fence.

And fwiw, Hoke has done fairly well on the nat'l scene as well. Not to the extent Urban has, but still good.

The thing is though, he's not really locking up all the top Ohio players. He is definitely still getting some, but honestly we've recruited Ohio better than Meyer has since his arrival.

    Wrong.

    2012:
Players OSU got in the Ohio top 10: 4
Players Michigan got in the Ohio top 10: 4

    2013:
Players OSU got in the Ohio top 10: 4
Players Michigan got in the Ohio top 10: 4

It's been pretty equal.. And since the quality is equal, I'd say we've done better since we also have more.

lol Are you serious? Can you be that dumb?

You flipped Conley, but you had players in the plural form.. So tell me, who else?

Also -flipping Kalis > flipping Conley

Kalis was flipped before Meyer got there. According to 247 Michigan got 7 of ohios top 25 players and osu got 10 so idk how you can say Michigan is out recruiting osu in Ohio.

Of the 7 Michigan got the only one osu really went hard after is dymonte who was committed before urbs got there

Doesn't matter if he was flipped before Urban.

Well I guess he isn't outrecruiting him, but we are doing very well and getting good quality from there.
