Rory and Tiger were both in very good moods. I've never seen Tiger so relaxed with the media.

You're just being a hater. Rory is confident, not cocky. He knows that he's as good as anybody in the world inclusing Tiger. Whether you choose to accept it or not is your problem. Tiger is just now starting to come back around, so don't think for a minute that Rory or anyone else is intimidated by him. And as far as that goes, Tiger has never chased anyone down on the final round to win a major. Not once. If he wasn't in the lead or tied for the lead, then he didn't win. The theory that guys were intimidated by Tiger is a myth. He won because he was better that everyone else, not because he scared guys into playing poorly.

Let's go in reverse order to prove your stupid point wrong.

2007 PGA Championship- Ames shoots a final round 76 (+6). He wasn't intimated at all.
2006 PGA- Luke Donald shoots a 74 (+2) everyone else near the lead shot at least 2 under. Again not scared.
2006 Open- Dimarco held his own, but Dimarco did that twice also during 05 Masters, still shot worse than Tiger
2005 Msters- Dimarco shoots 2 better than Tiger
2005 Open- Olazabal (+2) Another over par round in guy paired with Tiger.
2002 US Open- Sergio shoots (+4) in final round.
2002 Masters- Reteif shoots (+2) lulz
2001 Masters- Mickelson shoots (-2) but lost 2 strokes on Tiger
2000 PGA- Scott Dunlap shoots (+4)
2000 Open- Bjorn shoots (-1) but was down 6 going into final round, lost ground on Sunday
2000 US- Els shoots (+1) but it wasn't even close Tiger won by 15
1999 PGA- Weir shoots final round 80 (+8)

I don't hate Tiger. I love Golf and know when I see the times changing. Tiger 2001 was incredible. The field closed the gap middle of last decade and while he won a handful of Majors during that time, guys played him tough and made him really work for it. He won't run away from the field or scare anyone these days.

Tiger has always been a love/hate type of personality. The cheating just gave haters more of a reason to hate him. He didn't do anything to me so I simply don't care but the guy has been likely to blow out a knee rather than win a major the past 3 years. Just bring some facts to the discussion.

As for how Tiger has played recently, he has been improving but through 5 official PGA events, he has 2 top 10 finishes in 2012. He played 9 official events in 2011 with 2 top 10 finishes(4th was his best finish). Rory has played 3 official PGA events this year and has finished top 3 in every one of them with one win. He played 10 official events in 2011 with 4 top 10 finishes and a US Open route. They both played several unofficial events and performed well in those events.

Rory is a currently the best player on the tour. That doesn't mean he will win this weekend, it just means he is more consistent and playing at an overall better level. Every measurable trait says so. But go on with your ramblings about Tiger hate and banging hoes...no-one cares about that crap. I'm just talking golf, bro. Tiger isn't the best anymore. It was bound to happen and it has. You need to come to grips with that reality.

Also, Shell Houston Open had 4 of the top 8 players(according to world rankings) participating. Phil was also there. Tiger was the only top 8 player in the Bay Hill tourney. Justin Rose was there as well. Shell Houston Open>Bay Hill. Just some more facts.

I like tiger too, but man you're blinded by your love for him. Tiger was cocky before he won any majors and that's fine, but rory isn't allowed to be even though he won his first major at a slightly older age in record setting fashion? Rory's head is finally catching up to his game and he's the only person around that is going to challenge jack and tiger in major wins.

You may need to seek counseling. Seriously.

And FWIW, Tiger is his own worst enemy when it comes to his critics. By and large, he's a dick to the media, he's a dick on the course, he's a dick to the fans (I've seen it with my own eyes twice with little kids), and he's obviously a terrible family guy. He just happens to probably be the greatest player of all time, but you act as if the haters just hate for no reason. The guy is an epic douche bag.

Having said all that, I actually like '12 Tiger much more than I did pre-'12 Tiger. I was the same way with Jordan; liked him much more when he won after his first "retirement". I still hope he does not win, but I would not mind him hanging around to make it that more interesting.

I like his golf, I don't care about him off the course. And I'd just say he is more real than some of the guys out there, Phil is the fakest guy on tour IMO.

Spot on in this post. They are both playing great, but right now rory has played better this year. I believe rory has 5 top tens this year worldwide and would be surprised if he has only played in 5 tourneys. He has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finish in his three events on the PGA. The 2nd and 3rd were also WGC. That doesn't mean he will win or that tiger won't, but to argue that anyone is in better form right now is just dumb. Tiger is in great form too, but rory is still the hottest on tour going in.
