  • Very powerful, and a good story. But I've lived long enough to know that those that throw stones, have their own skeletons in their closets, and horrors that have been allowed and covered up, in modern times.

This has to be the most sickening and disgusting of them all...but to this woman who was born in 1949, so was segregation, lynching, and killing of men, women and children because of color. Key word, children added to that.

    Of course

Its why no coach should be loved like this

I always liked Bobby Bowden, but some Noles unconditional love and support of him made my hate grow strong

They only coach football people.... They only coach football

Yes, it is amazing how one can see the evil, when forced to...by government mandate and society.

It just seems that those speaking out the loudest, have the least room to throw stones.

This is more about the victims, and I think the focus should be speaking out for them...

Speaking out for the victims is pointless if one does not also use the experience to learn from the mistakes and missteps which led to there being victims in the first place.

You cannot tell one piece of the story and learn from it, you must see all sides as clearly as possible. More importantly, you cannot prevent future incidents without looking at the entire, complex picture.

Agreed, but I think the Freesh Report spoke loudly, and powerfully about the failings from the top by Penn State. People will give their opinions, which for the most part will be colored by their own perceptions and agendas. How many will actually read the report, in context, before striking out?

Time to focus of the innocent, and who they will get the justice they deserve.

Not trying to be contrary, I value your opinion, just throwing this out there.

What more can be said on behalf of the victims than has already been said?

What would you suggest be done or said?

I fail to see how an article laying the blame at the feet of those most responsible and owning up to how those people came to have such power isn't speaking for the victims. That, in my opinion, is exactly what is being done.
