USC at 7 is pure folly.

Thats what everyone said about not putting Oklahoma #1 last year...and Bama in 2010, and Florida in 2009

Oregon put up 27 on LSU. That is 4.5x what you put up in your first game last year and almost a TD more than your BCSCG total. And if you are arguing that Oregon's offense only looks good because the P12 defenses are weak, the same applies to USC's offense.

They put up 2 TDs against our second string defense, nuff said

In the first game of the year i might add...LSU got better as the year went on on Defense. And put USC in the SEC and i bet not many people would be talking about their offense as much, same goes for Oregon

I'm not criticizing your defense. I used LSU as an example because it was the #2 defense in the country last year. How many other schools put up 27 on you? Oregon has one of the best offenses in the country. That was my point.

    3.) Michigan

That's the highest I've seen Michigan in any pre-season ranking. This assumes no more than 1 loss... and they're already 0-1 b/c of game 1... also a good chance DRob takes a big hit in that game and just ain't right for the rest of the year.

USC would be just fine in any conference, IMO.

Bama will be 0-1 after game one, and there's a good chance the defense isn't quite the same after chasing Denard all day,

I have been studying Blue a little this week and Brady Hoke has that program reinvigorated, very 'Sabanesque.

I think this game prepares the Tide for LSU, who mentally is whipped before our game every year. Watch tape after they win on occasion and they act like Saint's fans at the Superbowl it's the second coming of Jesus.

Alabama is a top ten at the start of the season with full potential to go either way, with Phillip Sims backing AJ yes top five, right now it would be unethical to place an inside top five slot pressure on a team who will be starting so many new faces this season.

P.S. I have always lurked here, just turned in my notice at Disney/espn and retired from Robustness.

    New faces?
Square, Jesse Williams, CJ Mosely, Nico Johnson, Vinnie Sunseri, Trey DePriest, Dee Milliner, Robert Lester on Defense
The whole O-Line is back AJ with older WR corps. Trents gone, but Eddie Lacy, Yeldon, Fowler, and Dee Hart. Heck RB's dont matter when you have 3 first-round pics on your O-line

Very well could be. I think the difference is that Landry Jones is overrated. Matt Barkley is not.

If USC stumbles, it will be due to lack of depth and/or injuries. The defense will be serviceable and the offense should be great. There is only 3 games on their schedule that should pose an issue.

@Washington- tough place to play and a solid team that usually underachieves, but gets up for USC
Oregon- their offense can match them
@Stanford- the running game could give their defense issues up front.

Other than that, they are set, and I think the Stanford and Washington games are less likely to be close that it may appear, IMO.

Yes i understand, but USC has a clear cut easy road except Oregon. I mean by years end they may only play one ranked team depending on how Stanford is without Luck...thats worse than Florida State in the ACC
