No, LSU didnt back off him. They got rejected by one of the best players in LA, let alone their backyard......literally, and that VERY RARELY happens. So to avoid the embarassment of losing him to a rival or having the perception that they can no longer lock down the top players in their own state, LSU claims they cooled on him and that he wasn't the prototypical DE that they normally recruit. The only problem with that statement is that had they would've stopped recruiting him a long time ago.

Go back and look at the top ten recruits in the state of georgia over the last decade you will see UGA crushing everyone with the next closest being clemson and aurburn at around 4 or 5.

I can see why you would be so dumb as to think others poach our state, that is simply because this state is one of the best in terms of producing D1 talent (over 125 signed with D1 schools). But im sure you expect us to sign all of them right?

When did you ever compete in the west? I'm a hog fan, so I don't pretend to think that my team is top tier, but seeing ole miss think that they are going back to stardom is hilarious. You have to have been there before you can go back.

You do realize that all these kids will be FRESHMEN next year right? Last time I checked FRESHMEN have never played a down of college football. You have no clue how these kids will pan out. If you go back and check ranking over the past decade you will see that the top 5-10 usually do well, but from 11- 100 its extremely hit or miss, and mostly misses.

Stop putting so much stock into a bias ranking system. It will save you a lot of heartache when half the players dont pan out and end up riding the bench.
