Predictions on the Top 10 uncommitted...

  • Most of these are sort of obvious...Interesting that Ole Miss projects to sign two top ten prospects in this class. Hugh Freeze and his staff have done an outstanding job to date. Would be curious to get your predictions as well.

    Funny thing is FSU is in it with 4 of those guys and because of the attrition of certain staff members I dont think we land any of the 4. (Tunsil and Willis the other two)

    Not right away IMO. I'm not one of the guys who think he can play CB. He might be able to play nickle eventually but I think it might be too much to ask to throw him out there at CB this early. If he plays safety, he will be waiting for a while. We have signed 3 five star safeties in the last two years (not including him) and that is not counting 3 star Vinni Sunseri who is starting. Throw in ArDarius Stewart who I think will end up at DB too and that is one crowded backfield. Now, if he truly can play CB then we for sure need him. I just don't see that happening, though.

    I think that's what might push OSU over the top with him Is depth charts. Our two starting safety's are seniors next year, and there is no one behind them looking very promising.

  • Canes have taken some recent throwings of the U for miles and miles beyond where they could have truthfully but I do believe Thomas ends up signing with Miami. Hopefully its announced next week that FSU and Miami are headed to the Big 12 and despite sanctions that will give Miami enough stability going forward that he'll sign at home.

    Both schools end up happy because Northrup likely starts next year and is a stud. Very much like Eddie Johnson: 6'1.5 225 and simply makes a ton of tackles.

    Agree with you about Thomas--I'd actually give Miami the slight lead in light of losing Stoops.

    Re Collins, as long as Gran stays at FSU I see Collins coming to Tallahassee.

    The staff seems to think that he is more of true safety with a CB skill set. The way our D works you can't have too many of those. We need Tunsil, but Bell is a must take.

  • I don't think Ohio State gets Bell. If they get Conley, Bell becomes much less important.

    I'm more interested in the committed guys OSU is pursuing as opposed to the uncommitted ones.
