Presidential polls...

  • Obama is currently leading all polls except Rasmussen (go figure). As a Republican this isn't the best of news, but frankly unless something goes badly wrong I think he may get his 2nd term.

The only issues I can see that might derail him are if things get much worse with Iran or the Eurozone begins to collapse bringing the world economy down.

    Anyway just FYI.

Then we should all be watching plenty of "Doomsday Preppers" on National Geographic. Everyone get ready to bunker down.

What the hell has he done to help or improve anything?

This election is going to be really close. Don't give up.

Yeah, but for Romney to only be leading in one poll, and Rasmussen at that, it isn't looking great so far.

We are not in a recession anymore and are not losing 800k jobs a month.

This jobless recovery will last awhile and the housing take a long time to recover (see Japan) and this lost generation (sadly my generation) is effed for it.

Doesn't really matter who is at the helm on this one, it's going to suck for a few more years.

Now ideologically, I'd rather have Obama appointing SCOTUS justices and wielding the veto pen rather than Romney.

But to be truthful---and this will probably piss off a lot of conservatives---now the primaries are essentially over,Romney will move back towards the center and not much difference will be present except maybe taxes on the wealthy and that's about it.

I think a lot of people just don't think Romney is that much better and feel they might as well stick with the status quo. That's the only thing I can think of. I also think it has been so long since we had a good president that people are just kinda like "whatever" about it now "might as well keep the current guy".

The gap between female voters alone might sink Willard.

After Kagan, and with Holder's criminal policies (Fast and Furious), I cannot trust any appointment Obama makes. Doesn't mean I would love Romney's, but I KNOW that I will almost surely despise Obama's.

Mitt's can't possibly be any worse than those aforementioned two. I've at least faith he won't appoint a racist traitor to USAG.

Yea, that criminal policy that had been in effect prior to Holder's appointment and all...

  • guarentee this election will be within 2 - 3 points, and a good chance neither gets to 50%. That said, the ground game for Obama gives him a signicant advantage - and could give him an electoral route, even if the popular vote is close. Romney doesn't have a lot of paths to victory, and all of them include Florida.

I think Romney could win Florida, in fact I expect he will. But it's the Ohios and Penns that may be his undoing.

Obama currently holding a 10-1 advantage in cash on hand. Leading in majority of swing states and huge lead with females.

That said, Romney is probably going to pick a VP from Ohio or Florida to get those electorals.

  • If Romney picks Rubio as his running mate things will be real interesting. At this point with this much time before an election the incumbent always fairs better in polls. We'll see how things shake out over the next few months. I wonder if Romney will keep the zombie look if he gets elected . Dude has no personality

Yeah he is a little odd. But I want a President, not a cool guy.

  • Polls are virtually meaningless right now.

At this point in 1980, Carter led Reagan by 10 points. In 1992, Bush led PEROT AND CLINTON. In 2004, Kerry was slightly ahead of Bush.

All polls tell us right now is that the electorate is evenly divided.

  • I'm saddened by the thought of how petty and quarrelsome the election will be. Obama will go into Hypocrite Mode 2012 like few people can and the republicans will just try and tear him to pieces with any stat possible. If Barack wins I hope it's by presenting logical argument and statistical analysis.....somehow.....I can't take another election where he just blabbers on about ambiguous ideals he promises and watch as the18-26 year olds of the country fawn over it like last time.

If Israel attacks Iran Barack loses 10% of the vote. That's the swing IYAM. Not because he couldn't prevent it but what would come from that and the fact that his international policies will be a documented clown show at that point would hurt.

Maybe somehow Barack wins and in a shock move he takes on Romney as his VP and tells Biden to go write a book or something.
