Obama is currently leading all polls except Rasmussen (go figure). As a Republican this isn't the best of news, but frankly unless something goes badly wrong I think he may get his 2nd term.
The only issues I can see that might derail him are if things get much worse with Iran or the Eurozone begins to collapse bringing the world economy down.
Anyway just FYI.

I think a lot of people just don't think Romney is that much better and feel they might as well stick with the status quo. That's the only thing I can think of. I also think it has been so long since we had a good president that people are just kinda like "whatever" about it now "might as well keep the current guy".

We are not in a recession anymore and are not losing 800k jobs a month.
This jobless recovery will last awhile and the housing take a long time to recover (see Japan) and this lost generation (sadly my generation) is effed for it.
Doesn't really matter who is at the helm on this one, it's going to suck for a few more years.
Now ideologically, I'd rather have Obama appointing SCOTUS justices and wielding the veto pen rather than Romney.
But to be truthful---and this will probably piss off a lot of conservatives---now the primaries are essentially over,Romney will move back towards the center and not much difference will be present except maybe taxes on the wealthy and that's about it.

After Kagan, and with Holder's criminal policies (Fast and Furious), I cannot trust any appointment Obama makes. Doesn't mean I would love Romney's, but I KNOW that I will almost surely despise Obama's.
Mitt's can't possibly be any worse than those aforementioned two. I've at least faith he won't appoint a racist traitor to USAG.

guarentee this election will be within 2 - 3 points, and a good chance neither gets to 50%. That said, the ground game for Obama gives him a signicant advantage - and could give him an electoral route, even if the popular vote is close. Romney doesn't have a lot of paths to victory, and all of them include Florida.

If Romney picks Rubio as his running mate things will be real interesting. At this point with this much time before an election the incumbent always fairs better in polls. We'll see how things shake out over the next few months. I wonder if Romney will keep the zombie look if he gets elected . Dude has no personality

If Israel attacks Iran Barack loses 10% of the vote. That's the swing IYAM. Not because he couldn't prevent it but what would come from that and the fact that his international policies will be a documented clown show at that point would hurt.
