I wasn't aware Leach was at Houston or A&M, silly me, I should get my facts straight. After all, Kingsbury must have been calling plays for Sumlin at Houston, considering he wasn't even the OC. Ah, that's right though, when we talk about A&M you're the expert.

If you don't realize that you were running Leach's offense, you are a bigger idiot than I thought. I never bashed your degree. I just thought if your undergraduate/masters degrees were preparing you for a job at Gold's Gym, when not skip the degrees and go there directly?

I am sorry but link this info. I call BS

Edit: I wouldn't have jumped on you had you not gone and said something stupid like "well if Manziel would have just played DB". Why the fvck would Manziel have wanted to play DB at Texas when he wins the Heisman at qb for a team that has a better record than Texas for the two years he's been in college? Shouldn't get mad at the kid. Get mad that Mack Brown can pick a qb for shit. Since Vince Young he's allowed how many studs to leave the state?

Shocking how little you know about your team. All Rivals' rankings. No 247 back then, but most of them came here (or at least the best ones).

If he would have been your qb, you probably would have won the Big XII.

JFF is damn good, but he's not enough to overcome 42 points by Oklahoma. Any defense that gives up 60 points to their main rival isn't going to win a conference championship.

I'm going to love when A&M starts getting the better of Texas in recruiting on a regular basis within Texas.

    Not going to happen.

I grew up an OU fan, but even I know this is nonsense. Kids in Texas grow up dreaming of playing for Texas, not the aggies.

It's going to take more than one good season and a Heisman winner for that to change.

Texas has had one Heisman the past decade, and came close with Colt and VY. JFF isn't going to suddenly change the culture of Texas football.

Yeah, it's only cool to tout a university's academic prowess when you actually attended the university. No one cares about your diploma from the West Texas Vocational College.

Personally, I don't give a shit where he went to school. The other guys are badgering him about that. Still don't understand why you wouldn't say you graduated from there.

I was taking a shot at Tech, since it's basically a vocational school compared to UT or aTm.

Outside of petroleum engineering, their undergrad isn't highly regarded AFAIK.

They have a good law school though. It's not nearly as good as Texas', but it's a lot better than aTm's new one since they just bought it.

FWIW expect the 2014 state of TX class to be A&M heavy, it's the reason VaHorn avoided the question when I asked him how the 2014 was shaping up.

Don't be ridiculous, OU is a better school than Tech.

It's not a great school by any means, which is why I enrolled at PSU, but it's a good school. Tech is average at best.

Well I didn't graduate from Bama so your little "unintelligent" thing or backhanded comment means nothing to me.

I grew up in Bama for the first 18 years of my life but got my bachelors in Civil Engineering from the University of Evansville and my masters in Hydraulic Engineering from Purdue. Figured I would list mine since we are all throwing it out there. Not real fair to ask VaHorn to list his and not list your own.

Edit: My father did graduate from UA with a degree in business and UA has a pretty damn good business program. Some of these schools it just depends on what you majored in.

That isn't due to kids not wanting to go to Texas anymore, it's because Sumlin is doing a damn good job at aTm.

If Texas hired a competent coach capable of keeping a staff together that cooperated with one another, then things would swing back in UT's favor.

It's nothing against aTm, just the nature of football in Texas.

IMO it will take much more than one season and Heisman to consistently change the recruiting landscape in Texas.

Being in the SEC is not going to hurt though.

Edit: I have been shocked at just how piss poor of a job Manny Diaz has done at UT though. I thought he was supposed to be the DC of the future. Along the lines of Muschamp, Chizik, Smart, Foster etc.
