    True. Each conference has their peaks and valleys, and SEC has definitely hit their peak. It's a good time to be an SEC member if you're a recruiter.

    I have a lot of close friends who go there, and I thought that hire was a HR.

    According to a family member who is an alum, the position coaches aren't cooperating with Diaz. He teaches a zone scheme, four deep zone IIRC, but the position coaches don't agree with him or don't like him or whatever. Supposedly the position coaches have been teaching more man than what Diaz wants. TIFWIW. I don't think a program like Texas or a coach like Mack would let things get to that point, but if Harsin continually ignored a QB coach like Applewhite then I guess Mack wouldn't have cared about coaches not getting along.

    It sucks though. I can't stand Texas, but it's disrespectful to the rivalry to be that bad. Rivalries are bettered by quality competition, and Texas hasn't been up to the standards of the shoot out for too long.

    Texas Lion has put his finger on it. Mack Brown is 6-9 against OU. That is a sure way for a Texas coach to get fired. We are used to beating OU.

    You've only won 4 times since the turn of the century. Pretty sure OU has the lead since the end of WWII too.

    I don't think it's fair for a Texas coach to be judged by his success against OU. It's only natural for the superior program to win the majority of the time.

    EDIT: didn't mean to come off like such an ass. Mack has been an embarrassment though, he doesn't deserve to share the stadium with OU. As an OU fan, Mack makes me angry. Texas sucks, but y'all are better than this. Giving up 60 points to this year's OU team is pathetic, and came from a team that didn't have any heart. Stoops and Sooner Nation deserve better.

    lol, you are like A&M. Desperately searching for a span of years where the W/L record is in your favor. The series is tied since WWII. Texas leads the all-time series 59–43–5. The superior team, the superior state.
