  • I don't care what color you are, if you're roaming around late at night in a hoodie, you look suspicious.

  • I think the OP's original point was that suspicious looking persons wear hoodies. You can put in whatever situational factors you want to support your own conclusions past the point.

No one knows what happened that night and it is all conjecture, so let's just all let that go and not point ignorant blame (as NO ONE really knows) towards anyone else.

There are soo many people forming their own conclusions before even hearing the facts. It kind of all makes you hate the media and other's personal agendas.

I wear hoodies at night because it's usually a little cold out but too hot out for a heavy jacket.

Never once confronted or murdered because of it, even when I lived in Florida.

Lol. Imagine if one of those guys was murdered instead? And the same claims were made about being suspicious etc. I dunno for some reason i started cracking up imagining a news report detailing what happened and then showing one those pictures

  • I'm not going to lie, I'm concerned that someone with the attitude of "He's wearing a hoodie; that makes him suspicious" is (was?) in the military. That's a terrifying thought.

This is why carloads of innocent Afghani and Iraqi civilians get gunned down at checkpoints.

Zimmerman called 911 on a "skinny, suspicious black male, that looked to be between the ages of 7-9."

The guy was obviously a paranoid freak, that called the cops repeatedly.

Im not saying he's guilty, but the hoodie surely wasnt the problem that night.

If you, or anybody else in this thread, thinks hoodies are that scary, please do us a favor:

Truthfully give us a factual number of how many 911 calls you've made over people wearing a hoody.

Do you realize how weird that is for him to had abused 911 so often?

So make a thread asking everyone how many suspicious 7 yr old little boys they've called the cops on.

  • The people who say we dont know what happened are just trying to find a way to get the shooter off.. Bottom line he does not have the right to follow and harrass people with a 9mm. He called the police and at that point he shouldve been done.

    Here's what we know happened:

The shooter called the police and said there is a suspicious person in my neighborhood. Ill give him the benefit of the doubt and say he didnt care about the race of the suspicous person. The police operator says ok, we'll come and check him out. Right there, if the shooter says ok and just keeps watching the victim all we have his another black kid being stopped by the police because he had on a "scary hoodie"..In that situation the OP may have a point...Maybe its a legitimate suspicion, maybe not

But the question for all of the we dont know what happened people is how can you say that? The shooter got out of his car after being told directly, by the police "we dont want you to do that"...We know for a fact that he got out of his car with a loaded 9mm and approached an innocent unarmed citizen. How is he standing his ground?

I thought people said we don't know what happened because we REALLY DON'T know what happened.

So, when someone's wife says she has a headache, that means that she is banging it out with the whole neighborhood? Just need clarification while you are looking through your omniscient lense.

  • I wear hoodies instead of jackets. You can't put the hood up in a bank so they can see your face. Same reason my bank won't let you wear a hat or sunglasses.

    shaunsimpson

  • Bottom line is if a hoodie scares you, call the police. Dont arm yourself and go around chasing children with a 9MM.

  • Not a knock on you AG, but why is the "for all the fathers on the board" thread locked and this one isn't? It's the exact same thing just a different side of the argument. Why is one stopped and the other still going? Neither should be locked to be honest. Or just keep all the Trayvon stuff in one thread.

I agree with that. I wasn't starting this thread only in reference to Trayvon though.
