  • I haven't read one post in this thread except for the title. No matter the circumstances surrounding his recruitment, good luck to him....hope he has an injury free career and get's his degree.

    You have had a good run. I would say the UVA coaching staff now at the very least equalsTech in terms of talent. Blue chip players have and continue to line up for UVA over the last three recruiting classes. 2014 might be a historic recruiting class for UVA. Blanding is just the beginning for 2014.

  • Ok lets get real. After all the turnover with the UVA coaching staff how many of you Hokies, as well as many UVA fans, predicted that the firings would decimate our 2013 recruiting class? The job done by the new staff in retaining these recruits was masterful. Many of these recruits stuck because they want to play for Coach London. Now Blanding is on board. Tenuta, TOB, and Fairchild are highly respected coaches in their own right. Can we get some credit where credit is due here?

    Don't know much about Fairchild...but Tenuta?...he's ok I guess...Last time we saw him, Sean Glennon torched that Defense down at GT...

  • I would not say sucked forever, but the last 10 years have been frustrating. I hope London can win 5-6 this year and with # 6 being a win over Vt. Fsu fans I would not trust your sources to much when it comes to recruiting the 757. You saw what happened with Blanding. Those kids are very internet savy and read alot of these boards. So, keep on bad mouthing them and see how many you get. Look at Vt now. Sure Vt will get some but then again they may not.

    One thing's for sure, London won't be able to use the "you don't wanna play for a bunch of old white guys do you?" line any more with recruits. That right there is an indication these hires were forced on London.

    Doesn't hurt that that there are a few Hoo posters who are close to those kids that have an agenda and run their printer till it runs out of ink. Lots of Hoos masquerading as Hokies on our board too.

Second of all I haven't seen anyone bad mouthing recruits. We are talking about how UVA has no history, has a horrible coach, and will go 3-9 again next year.

    Please talk about how your education is better, 5* recruits what that education instead of facilities and coaches that can send them to the league. At least Stanford is competitive in a far better division and conference with a better education.

    UVA will have a new coaching staff come Christmas so I am not worried at all. If Blanding won't be given any support to find the best program for him we just have to wait until UVA has a clean house and FSU can pay for the trip down here.

  • You want eveidence about bad mouthing recruits from Fsu fans? Go read what some fsu fans said about Blanding when he committed to Uva. No idea why your attacking me. If you read my post I stated 5-6 wins with the 6th possibly being a win over Vt.

    Stanford became better in the last 6-7 years. I do not need to talk about Uva education, it speaks for itself.

    Uva will NOT have a new staff by Xmas either unless London goes 0-12 and I doubt that happens.
