    45? Or 450?

  • Longer career =/= better career. Cousins won't ever have a season like RGIII had this year, no matter how long he plays.

  • The bottom line is that when they're both done playing, who will have "the better career".

I'll bet anybody it's Cousins and I called this a while back.

  • When Vick went to ATL, everyone talked abt how he would "change" the game. Well, it only takes one team catching up to your team's track star and it's over. The NFL did not learn anything from the Mike Vick experiment.

They are all fast in the NFL. Once they catch your guy, it's lights out on your season. RGIII must learn the pocket presence more, or get a good insurance policy for his legs.

  • Both of RGIII's Injuries came at home on the FedEx fields nasty grass, which is more of dirt than field from what I saw in person...he even said yes the field sucks his best games in Dallas, in NY, in New Orleans

Snyder better put in turf ASAP

This is exactly it. I feel for the kid. His talent is through the roof, but a guy like Luck gets it. He runs and the first thing he thinks is getting out of bounds or sliding. I hope he has a full recovery, but if he keeps buying into the fans, teammates, his agent, commercials, sportscenter, etc, his career will be over before it started. Get better kiddo and wise up in the pocket.

These dudes are fast.... and pretty large.

    Injuries happen.

Manning has had 4 neck surgeries.
    Brady has torn his acl.
    Schaub has been injury prone.
    Stafford is injury prone
    Big Ben
    Etc

Rodgers gets hit more than any other qb. And those sacks he takes, on a regular basis, are gonna take a toll on him. He's been sacked over 50 times, this season.

Pocket passers might take more hits, but not open field shots at full speed. There's a reason why the shelf life of an NFL back on average isn't that long.

Btw, Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Big Ben have been playing for a little while now.... If RGIII continues the same pattern, I hope that Baylor degree is worth it's salt.

Both, Brady and Manning, had significant injuries at over 30 yrs of age. They returned pretty well. So them playing, while being much older and getting injured, would be worse imo.

You're already putting a 22-23 yr old out of the league, in his rookie season.

The shelf life of a rb is short, I agree. But, thats a no brainer. All they do is run. If an injury takes that away, they're done.

RG3 could still develop into a deadly accurate passer, and be even more effective. He's superior to Vick, in the passing phase, even now as a rookie.

By the way, Luck is great, and I would take him over RG3, but he did face the easiest schedule out of all starting qbs this season.

  • RG = your typical Mike Vick type QB. Not going to amount to ish in the NFL just like Vince Young, Terrell Pryor, Troy Smith, etc, etc.

    What about Russell Wilson?
    Or Steve Young?
    Big Ben?
    McNabb?
    Randall Cunningham?
    Tarkenton?
    Elway?
    McNair?

The guys you named had/have character flaws. Smith, not so much, but he wasn't/isn't nowhere near as talented as the others anyway.
