I think the knee injury screwed his draft stock. He was top 5 pre draft and then the reports that he may need surgery on his knee caused him to plummet into the second round.

Injuries must only affect certain player's draft status.

I am sure people said the same thing about DaQuan Bowers as well.

Bowers plays for my Bucs, so I'm thrilled he had knee questions.

Not this shit again. Please list all of the players that we turned from top 10 picks, to late 2nd rounders.

    I'll be waiting patiently.

Most weren't nearly that high, actually.

4 names came to mind as players that I think should have become much higher draft picks, if you are asking.

    DaQuan Bowers- 2nd
    Jacoby Ford- 4th
    Ricky Sapp- 5th
    James Davis- 6th

You would also think that with the recruiting Clemson has had, that there would be more than 1 1st round draft pick in the last 5 years.

Don't get me wrong, if RN isn't going to come to Bama, I would much rather him go to Clemson, so that he is a non-factor on the national landscape. It would be much more damning for him to go to LSU, South Carolina, UGA, FSU, or somewhere of that caliber.

    He play qb?

Whose to say they couldn't have a QB come in a just own the ACC? It isn't exactly a hard road and with Watkins and a respectable defense they could win at least 10 games.

None of the teams were told by their medical staffs that they would definitely need knee surgery at some point.

With Bradford being a QB, a shoulder is just as bad. Julio had to have surgery on his ankle, foot, and wrist (edit: wrist was pre-combine) after the combine. Carnell had broken his leg and had some injury concerns his entire career. Peterson was nagged with knee injuries all through college.

Teams just didn't see it with Bowers, IMO. He had one good season, and didn't have a consistant motor. That was the difference. Kid should have been a lot more with the talent he had coming out of high school.

You know if you're mad about Nkendiche going to Clemson, you can just admit it. No need to put him as a bust before he plays a down in college simply because he is going to Clemson.

I never said he was a bust. Plus, he hasn't commited to Clemson anyway.

All I responded to was someone saying that he will go top 10 in the draft no matter where he goes. I just pointed out that everyone would have said the same thing about Bowers in 2008.

Then you asked for players that didn't drop becasue of injuries and I gave you 4 in the last few years. Teams are going to still take risks on top level prospects when they didn't have catostrophic injuries, which Bowers's was not.

If he doesn't go to Bama, I would love for him to go to Clemson.

Bower's injury was/is the fact that he will eventually miss a year of football because of knee surgery, which could have been last season, or next season.

why do all these big time kids go to Clemson, they know it's Clemson right?

Bama missed on Clowney, Clowney missed on the Crystal .

i would love to see RN ink w/ Bama because he has the potential to play multiple roles in the Tide's scheme but the kid needs to sign where he thinks he best fits .
