MSU's board is one of the top 3 on this site in terms of overall membership and activity (it's a free board). There are regularly 2800-3500 people on there at any one time. Though the percentage of idiots is just about the same as other sites, the raw # of posters means that there are a more idiots. All I can say is if you see someone that's out of line, PM me or one of the other moderators.
There's a low tolerance for UM trolling, but you should be ok as long as you're polite. PM me if you have any questions.

I can't count the number of times I've been to South Bend to watch Michigan v ND and not once have I ever had a problem, even while donning Maize and Blue. They have to be the most polite fans on earth.
I've been to OSU and MSU too, and although they're a vocal, obvnoxious lot, I've never had an altercation. It's good to be 6'3" 250lbs.
MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

tRCMB was a free independent board for a long time (it's been around since 1995). As such, you don't quite have the same attention to recruiting as say BOL, or Bucknuts. On the flip side, it's very much like a "tailgate" (Hence the same, "Spartantailgate"), where there's some sports talk, but it's got a lot of people just shooting the breeze.
