Steve Spurrier top tier is laughable - good coach , but has gone down hill since his title at UF. Second Tier IMO

    Overall 207–77–2 (.727) (NCAA) USCe - 65-37 12–20 (.375) (NFL) 35–21 (.625) (USFL) Bowls 8–10 (.444)

He has made South Carolina a top ten program, something no one else has done.

how is Spurrier laughable in tier 1??

    -was succesfull in the USFL
-Coached Duke to back to back winning seasons a bowl game and was co-conference champs (at Duke!)
-5 time sec coach of the year, 6 SEC conference champs, 2 ncaa champ appearance, 1 ncaa champ win at Florida. avged 10 wins a season over 12 years and never finished worse than 2nd in conf div over the 12 years.
    - has USCe going to 7th bowl out of the last 8 years (pretty sure theyve never come close to that before) Lou Holts couldnt turn USCe around and Spurrier did.

    exactly!
They guy won a football championship at Duke. Let that sink in.
The guy won 6 SEC's, and a NC at UF. Coached a heisman at his position along the way. Winningest coach in UF's history.
The guy won the East for the first time, most wins in a season, and back to back top 10 seasons at South Carolina. Winningest coach in SC's history.

Nah, he is overated for sure....
