Last year he took a below average OSU class and finished in the top 5 in the country in the matter of six weeks. This year he has another top 10 class going, and the man hasn't even coached a game yet(and we're under sanctions). What exactly do you want from the man?

People keep saying that Meyer benefitted from the PSU scandal. We got a couple of great commits from that, think it was 3 players. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong. Hoke benefitted from having a depleted roster. He was able to sell immediate playing time to recruits. OSU's roster was anything but depleted when Meyer came in. OSU was also still facing, yet to be determined, sanctions while the recruiting was going on.

But honestly, when you have classes like Michigan and OSU, you are really splitting hairs when you try to claim that one is better than the other. The important thing is to get kids that can win a natty, and both teams have those players in this class. Whether one is slightly better than the other is irrelevant.

Give Hoke two more years and you will see them playing in his offense (vs a wierd BS hybrid thing that they run now). That will help a lot.
Allen Robinson was a 3 star recruit for us who didn't look impressive on film and wasn't making any noise with the previous staff. This year, he was the B1G WR of the year and was one of the best in the nation. We won't know if Michigan will have playmakers until we play the games.

PSU was on it's way to a monster class before sanctions. Gregg Webb, Dorian Johnson, Zach Bradshaw, Will Fuller, and Ross Douglas were all committed to PSU. We also had a great chance to land Nadir Barnwell, David Williams and Tyler Boyd. Who knows who else we would have been in on.
The point is, if PSU can somehow keep BOB through these sanctions, he is going to be an elite recruiter. Top 25 with the most severe sanctions outside of the death penalty. Are you kidding me!!??

I Still think we lose Douglass regardless of sanctions..... pretty sure Douglass was already visiting schools pre sanctionsanywho our class wouldve looked something like this if we had no sanctions.... IMO (Assuming Bolden and Jones transfer still.... Jones is dropping to Robert Morris, he could play immediatly without the sanctions and Bolden was 3rd on the depth chart and still had his rs, he was gonna leave)

Your list looks good, but a couple of guys likely would not be here. Drennan would have certainly committed to PSU, but we were (and still are) full at DE. Kasey Gaines and Anthony Smith would not have been offered as well. Honestly though, we have recovered pretty well all things considered.
