    No, pure history recognition. Look at the man's body of work over the years. It's not even close. You guys have a good one, and I hope your rivalry gets to where it should be again with these two guys, but Hoke is not there yet.

    To be a great recruiter you have to do it for more than two years, and Urban has did that while Hoke has not. You cant dub him a great recruiter after two years.

    Robert Foster, Vonn Bell 5 stars, James Quick, Mike Mitchell, MarQuez North, Shelton Gibson, Devon Allen, Tyquan Lewis 4 stars.

    I would say OSU is in on plenty of 4/5 star kids. i know they wont get them all but even if they get 3 or 4 of those players OSU will end up with a top 10.

    Honestly, if O'Brien can hang onto Hack and Breneman with the shit that PSU is going through, then they have a good argument for 1 or 2. I'm not sure if anybody can recruit with those sanctions.

  • This is a meaningless ranking, because you aren't taking into account the effect that the coach's school has on his recruiting. Hoke wouldn't recruit this well if he were at Indiana, and Kevin Wilson wouldn't recruit this poorly if he were at Michigan. Ergo, ranking coaches' recruiting abilities based on the perceived quality of their classes is stupid.
