Its funny how you keep changing the topic once people present facts shooting down your previous statements.

to your question, yes we have more scholarship Olinemen than we have had in years.

everyone knows UMs Oline class is top notch and has been considerably better than OSU's the last 2 years.

Looks like you only have recruited two O linemen this year. Are you only going to have two in this class because if not thats another 2 star or so that Urban would be offering.

I don't know why I am even answering this questions but I think we only take 2 unless a top 15/20 kid wants to join the class which I don't see happening. I see Price moving to the offensive side of the ball as well so that would put us at 3. last year we signed 5. I get what your trying to do and to be honest I am concerned about this years recruiting hall on the oline. The same could be said for UM when it comes to play makers on the offensive side of the ball the last 2 years, If i was a UM fan I would be concerned.

Morris, Green, and Treadwell would all be playmakers
at least we have a shot at them unlike you guys and OL

  • How do you compare michigan's defensive line haul these past two classes compared to OSU's. I can't wait to hear your answer to this one.

The rankings weren't right all of our recruits were overrated. Something along those lines

    Morris and Treadwell = studs

Green is not a play maker watch his film. Urban straight told him to look in another direction.

The funniest thing about your answer is 66.6666% of the names you gave me aren't committed to UM.

Actually, Green told Urban that he wanted to play in a pro style system, and we lead for both.

Your haul is better, but ours isn't too shabby either. We have 8 4/5 star recruits there.

The numbers game caught up with Ohio State’s recruitment of ESPN 150 running back Derrick Green (Richmond, Va./Hermitage) on Wednesday.

Green, who is ranked 53rd, had been planning on heading to Ohio State’s Friday Night Lights this weekend, but won’t be coming to Columbus now because the Buckeyes have apparently pulled their offer, according to the four-star, 6-foot, 215-pound senior.

“I think they had one scholarship left or something like that and they took a receiver (Taivon Jacobs) instead of waiting on me and not getting me,” he said.

O and before you say it I know the article your going to refer to

This is a total attempt by him and his camp to try and save face. He even tweeted that OSU had stopped recruiting him.

  • Things Buckeye fans have learned today:
*Hoke is the best recruiter in the Big 10
*JT Barrett is not a good QB because he is ranked lower that Morris
*We are only going to sign one more 4/5 player- Vonn Bell
*We have no shot at Mitchell, Lewis, Gibson, Foster or any other 4/5 star
*Meyer's first recruiting class does not count since the Penn State program was falling apart. That is why we were ranked higher last year.
*We are not going to be able field an O-line cause Meyer can't recruit lineman
*and one positive note, we have signed three good defensive lineman compared to Michigan's 8

Things Wolverine fans have learned today: *Urban is the best recruiter in the country *JT Barrett will be the next Tim Tebow because Urban Meyer recruited him. *Anybody we target automatically goes to Columbus *We have a shot at anyone Urban points to * He can flip anyone of Michigan's commits even though he's failed everytime he tries. *Michigan's DL recruits suck because they go to Michigan and not you guys *Michigan also lack playmakers anywhere on offense *and one positive note, our OL recruiting has been good, but the Buckeyes do not need O Linemen

Out of curiosity, how do you define playmaker? What are the criteria one must meet to be considered a playmaker?

OSU has struggled with Oline recruiting this cycle. No way around it. The last kid we just got was option Q. This is a concern for me as a OSU fan. Please show me the elite talent that you have brought in at the WR/RB positions for 2012/2013 ? If I was a UM fan I would be concerned seeing my team being able to recruit every other position extremely well except WR/RB. I don't think thats an utter joke.

We'll see. If we don't have an elite RB or WR on NSD, I'll agree with you, but something's telling me that we'll have one or two of those guys.

Is that the same "something" that's telling you OSU won't sign any more 4/5 star players other than Bell? Cause I have yet to figure out where your getting that information.

The fact that we lead for both Green and Treadwell. You can't have it both ways by saying that Urban is going to pull 4/5 stars out of his butt, but Michigan won't end up getting the guys they lead for.

This doesn't make it any clearer. Is he the only playmaker in OSU's class? What about last year's class?

Have you watched the film of all the Michigan commits at WR and RB from the last two years? What are you using to judge their ability (or lack thereof)?

Smith had an offer from OSU. Does Urban Meyer offer non-elite RB?

Where do you see in my post where I said UM won't land Green or Treadwell? Just the fact that u think Urban will have to pull players out of his butt shows you know absolutely nothing about OSU recruiting. Good luck finishing out your class!! I feel like I have wasted half a day my life. You can't teach stupid!!

How do you compare michigan's defensive line haul these past two classes compared to OSU's. I can't wait to hear your answer to this one.

I used the new 247 composite rankings to determine an average ranking of OL and DL recruits for Michigan and OSU over the last two years. During that time, Michigan and OSU both gained commitments from nine players on the DL. Michigan also has commitments from nine OL, while OSU has commitments from seven. So numbers wise the teams are virtually even.

    Results:

    Michigan avg. OL rating: 0.9389
    OSU avg. OL rating: 0.8927

Michigan's avg OL commitment rating is 0.0462 higher than OSU's. With the composite ratings normalized to 1, it basically says Michigan's OL recruits, on average, are about 4.6% higher rated than OSU's.

    Michigan avg DL rating: 0.9167
    OSU avg DL rating: 0.9455

OSU's avg DL commitment rating is 0.0288 higher than Michigan's. With the composite ratings normalized to 1, it basically says OSU's DL recruits, on average, are about 2.9% higher rated than Michigan's.

But perhaps what matters the most is how the Michigan OL compares to the OSU DL and vice versa. OSU's DL owns a 0.66% advantage over Michigan's OL and Michigan's DL owns a 2.4% advantage over OSU's OL.

OSU has a better DL. Michigan has a better OL. Michigan's OL is better equipped to go against OSU's DL than OSU's OL is to face off against Michigan's DL.

Bottom line: Both teams have impressive hauls on OL and DL. Player development and coaching is going to determine who comes out on top.
