  • People keep saying that Meyer benefitted from the PSU scandal. We got a couple of great commits from that, think it was 3 players. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong. Hoke benefitted from having a depleted roster. He was able to sell immediate playing time to recruits. OSU's roster was anything but depleted when Meyer came in. OSU was also still facing, yet to be determined, sanctions while the recruiting was going on.

    He hasn't been as good as Hoke in Columbus though.

    Meyer doesn't think Ohio first, he thinks nationally first. Doing well in Columbus isn't a measure of how good a recruiter one is.

    I have yet to figure out what "Brady Hoke" is using to base his opinion that the real Brady Hoke is a better recruiter. He is all about the rankings but in the one completed class that was 2012 in which they went head to head at their new schools, Meyer and OSU had the higher ranking class. The OSU class this year is going to be rated lower due to the scholorship limitations due to the NCAA sanctions. Being in the top 5 classes with these restrictions is pretty darn good in my book. I think Hoke is doing an excellent job but it is a little premature to rank him ahead of Meyer who has proven himself at Florida and now at OSU.

    Hoke is the best recruiter in the B1G. Four pages of people calling the OP an idiot and a homer, he says he's right. JC comes on and says the Hoke ain't the best recruiter. Then we move on to OSU can't sign any offensive Lineman. Cwood down some math(he's a scientist}. Then the OP gets freaked out about my avatar. What we are still doing here is beyond methumbsup

    Honestly, if O'Brien can hang onto Hack and Breneman with the shit that PSU is going through, then they have a good argument for 1 or 2. I'm not sure if anybody can recruit with those sanctions.

    Well, PSU will be holding onto Hack and Breneman. Neither really thought about leaving. They both got a pretty good idea what an O'Brien offense can do.

    Billy is a top 2 recruiter without question IMO. People forget, even after the Sandusky stuff broke and pre sanctions, PSU was well on its way to a top 10-top 12 type class. Dorian Johnson, Ross Douglass, Will Fuller, Bradshaw who is a UVA verbal; Webb (UNC) were all in the class and there were three others very very close to pulling the trigger.

    I will be stunned if PSU doesn't get one of its former verbals back in the fold soon.

Not trying to be mean, but your 8-4 COY who lost at home to a MAC school, isn't going to get the sympathy vote from an 18 year old kid, period. bOB will have better luck poaching Temple 2 stars. Won't matter cause he NFL gone in a year.

    Well, check out the composite rankings right now. PSU is #36 with only 13 commits (no team ahead of them has equal or less # of commits). Because of EE's, PSU can take 20 kids this year. We have heard some good things from high 3 stars and even a couple of 4 stars still left on the board. I'm not saying that we will get them, but it is looking like a stronger than predicted finish. We will see... a top 25 ranking is not impossible.

    BTW, we have received 5 verbals since the sanctions were announced, and they are all 3 stars. So you are off base.

    Face it, Michigan hired a second tier coach who could hardly win in a non bcs conference meanwhile tOSU hired a superstar. The joke is 100% out classed in every aspect of the game.
