A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has reversed the 2002 rape and kidnapping conviction of former Long Beach Poly football standout Brian Banks.

Trojans are e-mailing the university President, AD and coaches to encourage the school to grant him a full ride academic scholarship. Doubt we could give him an athletic scholarship, but at least an education from the university he chose, may help him piece his life back together.
There is also a facebook page started by Trojans asking the university to honor his original scholarship.

i seen this on the news yesterday and i hope he can get his life back together and actually hopes he sues the shit outta someone for this. seen where he is still working out to get ready to get back into football. hope he makes it

Even if he doesn't I'm pretty sure the school district has a legitimate counter suit. Hopefully an NFL team signs him as a good faith story.

Many universities honor scholarships all the time to players injured, with congenital heart defects (Frankie Telfort, etc) or students that experience sad situations like this one. Last year we had a recruit graduate from USC that never step foot on the football field due to an injury he received in high school - not USC, and never fully recovered from.

He pleaded no contest so he wasn't risking life in prison. I don't think there was an actual trial.

She ruined that young mans life. He no doubt had a bright future ahead of him & she stole it from him & got tons of money on top of it. This story is sickening. I hope Brian can get back on his feet & recover from this & I hope she gets fvcked over ten fold for the rest of her life.

Another example of our Judicial system gone wrong. When will people realize that the system is shot. Judges are going to jail for filling up privately owned prisons. Our jails are full of post smokers, and druggies. Lawyers NEVER practice law, only protocol and procedure. Wake up people. This system is broken and for the most part is not fixable. You will personally watch the destruction of our once great country because your to lazy or scared to challenge the system. Well, all great things end at some point. Sit back and watch.....
