LOL. Yeah I suppose it might suck. But really it's not that big of a deal, very few people actually use that much data anyhow. And if you go over they just tack an extra $10 on for one G. I have the lowest plan with AT&T and listen to Pandora everyday, read Kindle books on my phone, I practically live on my phone, and I come nowhere near the limit.

Now if you were to listen to Pandora all day long everyday you might have a problem, but normal people won't, just the nerds.

You would be surprised actually, especially with 4G phones.

I use around 10 GB a month on my Virgin Mobile phone on a regular basis.

My issue with android is its super easy to overheat once rooted, causing terrible battery life, and android can get real buggy after awhile.

iOS and android definitely each have positives and negatives. I enjoy both.

It really all depends on if you are overclocking it to far or not.

With my current root on my LG Optimus V, it has never overheated once, mainly because I don't dare to overclock it to much. And I solved the battery problem by buying an extended battery, Sure it makes it a lot heavier phone, but definitely worth it battery wise. If I wasn't too lazy, I would just keep extra charged batteries on me (an underrated perk of Android phones), so I can just swipe them out when one dies.

Plus, it's always a good thing to do a clean wipe every so often to make sure it runs smooth, and I couldn't live without the removable micro SD cards. I can easily upgrade my memory any time a better card comes out.

    Wut? No.

    Stupid answer.

All the wireless providers know that 2 GB with 4g is easy to attain within a week. They are praying that the stupid stories that came out 4 years ago about the 98% not using more than 2gb/month will continue.

Stupid Americans thinking they know better than a marketing team being paid about 1/2 billion dollars to convince Nascar loving idiots that they use less than they actually use.

4G is as fast or faster than your home internet connection.

Are you that dense? It says 4G because the new update runs on AT&T 4G networks, but the phone capabilities only support 3G. MAC websites have even come out to say its a marketing ploy by adding the 4G label onto the phone.

4S is running on a 4G network at 3G speed. THe next iPhone will have 4G.... Well, that's if they actually decide to upgrade the phone instead of just adding a voice to it and slapping an S beside the 4.

haha yeah thats all they did. when I am able to download movies and tv shows without being prompted to connect to a wifi, then yeah its not running at 4G roflmao, no but go ahead please tell me more about the phone I own.

Updating software doesn't change the hardware. Its basic technology.

From ABCnews when Apple put out the update...

"It’s all a tad confusing, but the point is: not all 4G is equal and AT&T’s 4G status on the iPhone 4S certainly doesn’t mean you will see any difference in speed compared with when it said “3G” just yesterday."

Oh well, I really don't care. I've moved on to Android and never going back.

  • well their are two different levels of 4G HSPA+ and LTE, to get HSPA+ all it takes is a software upgrade. LTE is only in select cities so doesn't really matter if you have LTE or not, its worthless at this point until everywhere has LTE. Good luck with Android, just a horrible operation.

Disagree. This Galaxy Note blows iPhone 4S out of the water as far as specs go. Especially in the processor speed. I'm done arguing about it. Everyone likes different things for different reasons.

Why? When's the last time the newest iPhone has been overly impressive at the time it was released?

Thats exactly why it will be. New design, 4g, and God knows what else.

I did some research and if you just use wifi wherever you go then it should be fine. Majority of places offer it these days.

    Sorta my point.

4G? That's not impressive at all. By the time the iPhone is 4G, there will have been 4G phones out for over a year.

The past 2-3 iPhones have been dated the moment they've been released. The last iPhone that was "ground braking" and "innovative" was the iPhone 3G.

Since then, each new iPhone has been playing catch-up technology wise. The only thing impressive with the iPhone 4 was the retina display - everything else had already been on the market before and was better.

I haven't heard anything that'll put the iPhone 5 back in front of the race vs simply playing catch-up.

Apple's Retina display is nice, but Samsung's SUper Amoled display is just as impressive, IMO. You are right about Apple playing catch up with every release.

I certainly agree there are comparable displays now, including Samsung's Super Amoled. But, if I'm not mistaken, in that regard they were catching up to the Retina Display. When the iPhone 4 was released, Retina was the best. Others have caught up to it since.

That was the only advantage the iPhone 4 had when it was released - display. Even then it wasn't a HUGE advantage over some of the other displays.

But, yeah. Apple just plays catch up. Not entirely Apple's fault. Apple is a technology juggernaut going up against another juggernaut in Google... in addition to Samsung, Motorola, HTC, LG, Sony, etc. It's unrealistic to expect Apple to be able to "keep up with the Jones'" given the competitive marketplace Android has become with it's self.

Yea. Apple puts out a great product. The best product? No, but its a product that is very user friendly, and that, along with the brand name of Apple it sells really, really well.

Its good to have the competition. The customer always wins.
