Would you call most of those seniors extremely talented? There were three or four great seniors in that class. The rest were productive, but hardly what you would call elite. Regardless, no I wasn't talking about his 2007 class. I was talking about his 2008 and 2009 classes. They were horrendous.

they made up the corp of the two deep that won the NC , i would call that productive . and i doubt Tubsters 09 Red Raider Class would have been eligible to play at Auburn .
which then would leave only 08 i believe but Tubs is gone & minus a NC that "his" players were able to win albeit for another HC, if things go as expected by most the new staff will have three 7-5 regular season slates in four seasons at the helm.
before i blamed a NC winning class & a moot 08 class i would consider the 50+ % fail rate of the past few seasons on te trail for the lack of depth at hand .
but i realize that is just one possible senario

Chizik caught a pretty bad break with the 2010 class. Cam turned in to a star and left early, Dyer turned in to a head case and transferred, three guys decided to become stars on America's Most Wanted, and one of our best players got cancer. Shit happens. However, I'm not sure where you're getting the 50% fail rate over the last few seasons. I'm pretty sure we've gotten EVERY recruit to qualify the past two seasons. Auburn also doesn't have a lack of depth. They have a full, or very close to full roster, for the first time since Chizik showed up on campus. What they have is a lack of upperclassmen.

I can't argue that. A lot of 2009 and 2010 players left early, and it's too early to tell what the attrition rates will be for the 2011 and 2012 classes. It's also too early to tell if that's a trend, or just a couple of unlucky years. In reference to your earlier post, there's no way Auburn goes 7-5 in the regular season this year. None.
