I don't think we land him either, just telling you what I heard though.

Malik McDowell between ND and Michigan is a huge battle in the mid-west.

    FSU isn't in on Lane?

At the moment I wouldn't call us a real threat compared to who I listed, things can change but I see him being a Bama/Miami battle with Miami having a comfortable lead

Add their new superstar recruiting ace James Coley to the mix and they should be looking good, I wouldn't sleep on UF

FSU is stacked at WR and would have to really push hard for him to get involved imo, still very early though

FSU also already looks good for so many other WR targets ( McCrary, Jackson, Worton, Robinson among others )

Yeah, big one. Along with a few other Michigan-centric battles I'm interested in:

Drake Harris - MSU, OSU, Michigan (maybe Alabama, USC)
Mason Cole - ND, USC, Michigan
    Artavis Scott - ND, Michigan
    Kyle Berger - OSU, Michigan
Jamarco Jones - Not sure who are his top few
Lawrence Marshall - Michigan, if USC offers will get real interesting
    Denzel Ward - Florida, Michigan

Really would like Michigan to get in on Tyler Luatua and Damian Prince but don't think we will. I'll enjoy seeing where they go either way.

  • Y'all know I'm not one to Gump but Bama needs to be added to the list of potential suitors for Brumfeld. He got an offer today & had glaring reviews after leaving Tuscaloosa.

Damn good, hard to say just how good right now ( I don't know who I would compare him to just yet, maybe a Sammy Watkins for I have heard some throw around that comparison )

Certainly worthy of his ranking right now and I don't see anybody knocking him off that #1 WR spot

Elite jumping ability, elite moves in the open field, as fast as you would hope a game breaker at WR to be

He has all the tools you look for and could grow to be in the 6'2" 195/205 range maybe bigger by the time he is in college

Sadly he might be some trouble off the field

No doubt, Bama is at a point where whoever they push for they can almost automatically become a finalist instantly

    Especially an elite OL

Good call, sometimes gumpin is completely necessary

Michigan belongs in that group with Peppers for sure. The QB committed to Clemson, wouldn't sleep on OSU.

  • Trey Quinn LSU/A&M will be interesting. Kid is probably my favorite receiver in next years class. 2 other kids I really like are Speedy Noil and the Quick kid out of Fresno.

Drake Harris might as well have everyone. Cole and Scott will be interesting. The Campbell kid will be better than both though and UF will be hard to beat. Elijah Hood ND/OSU think we lead by nice margin at this time.

  • Do people really care this much about recruiting? Is it more important than on the field results?

It probably doesn't matter if anyone answers those questions because I'm not sure I'm going to remember to check this thread again?

Recruiting is the life blood of any program ( or is it ass blood ? can't remember ) and unless you are recruiting top 10 classes year in and year out you are irrelevant in terms of competing for a national title

I can understand it not being much fun for a Michigan State fan though, especially when your in state rival and conference foes are elbow deep into your anus each and every season
