    Maybe Scott, but not Cole.

ND, Michigan, or Bama for Cole.

Neither one, Duval will Duval as they say

Cole is about as close to a lock to Michigan as you will find

This post is why I don't think Cook ends up at Miami for now

1- I also think he might be the best back in next years class

2- Moving him to DB would be a travesty, and one I don't think he would go for at all... and having those 4 in the same backfield which could potentially be four 5 star backs is a pipe dream... and one only the Canes fan base would consider possible

3- It sounds like Miami fans are thinking he is a Cane cause they want him badly, not cause of good information stating he might flip ( as evidence by you not even being sure if some of your info is true or not )

jmo though, and of course.... its still early

He says in this video if Miami keeps pushing he could decommit.

They didn't offer. They offered his teammate Sam Mustipher when they both visited last week. Complete bias aside, that would bother me to offer my teammate, and not me, even though I'm a better prospect. What's worse is that they shared a car to ND.

Yeah, big one. Along with a few other Michigan-centric battles I'm interested in:

Drake Harris - MSU, OSU, Michigan (maybe Alabama, USC) Mason Cole - ND, USC, Michigan Artavis Scott - ND, Michigan Kyle Berger - OSU, Michigan Jamarco Jones - Not sure who are his top few Lawrence Marshall - Michigan, if USC offers will get real interesting Denzel Ward - Florida, Michigan

Really would like Michigan to get in on Tyler Luatua and Damian Prince but don't think we will. I'll enjoy seeing where they go either way.

David Cornwell - Michigan, Bama, Al Borges

Miami reporters press kids like nobody else I have ever seen, its nuts imo and a main reason why I hate player interviews at the high school level

These kids should be left alone

  • Late to the thread but a few thoughts:

-NoVa, disagree on Lane. All I see is a straight line runner. You may end up being right, though. But I'd take Holmes, Bronson and a few others over him.

-lol @ duval. Scott and Cole are heading north.

-I've been saying this for a year and a half. Everyone else is finally catching up. Dalvin Cook is the best back in Florida next year. Gotta laugh at you, abs, for suggesting moving him to corner. Kid is elite.

-pretty sure Raekwon is all OSU. Don't know what the pup is talking about. But it's still early so who knows. Maybe he knows something we don't.

-Hurd will be an interesting battle against UF and OSU

-I think Daub ends up at FSU now but who knows with that kid

-I think we steal Denzel Ward from Michigan. Heard the staff didn't even know he was transferring to IMG Academy

-McDermott is going to Miami. SoFla is deep and talented as hell next year.

-hope Muschamp can flip Ware or Purifoy. And I hope we can land that Hardee Co DE (forget his name)

Keyon Brown is the Wachula DE you are thinking of I believe

Lane has some shake and bake, I saw it more it camp settings though for yeah, his highlights he is just running past people

You would take Holmes from STA over him ? that is a little crazy imo, Bronson is sick though but still.... not sure if he is better than Lane at the moment.... Jacob McCrary is a badass too

    Always lol at Duval

Yeah ABS was trippin on that DB comment, not even sure why that crept into his head... Cook is damn good, probably better than the hype machine of Michel

Ware ? maybe, not Purifoy though... that kid might love FSU football more than I do and word is the Purifoy family is huge so its not like him and his cuzzo are super BFF or nothing from what I have heard.... so back off!

  • If Ward sticks with Michigan I'd be shocked.

Not sure why he even committed in the first place.

Only way he sticks is if he and Michael O'Connor (QB for IMG) become friends and O'Connor goes to Michigan.

I remember when we were both low on Holmes. But I went and seen him at the state finals and he put on a clinic. Easily one of the most impressive performances of both weekends of games. But yeah, McCrary is a baller, too. The state of Florida is deep at WR next year.

    Quin Blanding - FSU/UVA

    Sony Michel - Miami/UGA/FSU

    Ermon Lane - Miami/UF/Bama

    Kain Daub - FSU/Bama

    Damian Prince - FSU/Bama

    Elisha Shaw - Bama/FSU/UGA

    JC Jackson - FSU/UF

    Chad Thomas - FSU/Miami

Trey Marshall - no battle, FSU lock

    Nigel Patten - FSU/Miami

    Garrett Brumfield - Texas A&M/LSU/Miami/UF/FSU

These are very early predictions so get off me, I think Im pretty accurate on them

These pretty much, except I think we are in it for Lane as well.

  • Mobile is going to look like the Battle of Somme after Bama, AU, and FSU get through with it. I am just hoping we stay out of any shady dealings with less than reputable characters down there. It's always been known for that and we have way too much to lose. I'd rather never sign a Mobile kid again than get into trouble now.

Da'Shawn Hand will be crazy. His recruitment will be all over the place before he ends up staying home.

Louisiana is loaded in 2014. LSU will keep most of them home, but odds are good we will snag one or two. Which ones will be fun to follow. Crossing my fingers it's Cam Robinson

QB's are always a scrap. They commit earlier than everyone else so teams can build a class around them. QB recruiting is kinda like preseason recruiting. It's done usually before the Summer is over so it will start and be over sooner rather than later. Which top QB commits first will be the thing. These top few guys picking schools act like dominoes for all the rest of the guys underneath them. Once a few pick, they all start picking. You don't want o get left out so you will need to grab your guy early. Who gets who when all the dust settles will be fun to see. Here's hoping we don't end up left out.

Depends on his legit height for me. If he's 6'3 235, he needs an offer yesterday. But didn't he measure in a 6'1 3/4 at the Under Armor Combine? Meh...

Cook plays CB also for Central but I agree it would be stupid to play him there in College.

And Holmes is a possession WR that lacks deep speed so no way he's in Lane's class.

Yeah, I saw Central's beatdown on Gainesville. I know he plays both ways.

And like I said, I'm not high on Lane as of now by looking at the few highlights I saw. Looks like a straight line runner to me. While I saw Holmes running by some pretty good Tallahassee Lincoln players. Randolph, Williams, Davis, all these dudes have burners and Holmes got behind them. Too lazy to look up his combine times but if he's clocking a 4.5-4.6, that's good enough for me.

Deep speed doesn't make one WR greater than another.

I'm assuming you are talking about Corey Holmes?

What's the word on him from you guys?

We hear he grew up a Michigan fan, and earlier he named us leader but has backed off that statement. Really want Holmes.

Have always thought he was going to Michigan. But now, after his junior year and state finals performance, I guess the southern heavyweights are coming after him. I'm not exaggerating when I say there are plenty of Florida receivers to go around in '14. Still think Michigan sits pretty. Just gonna be more of a fight.

I agree with everything but Cook's cousin is a Miami basketball commit and he's working on him and someone also told me that his uncle played for Miami but I'm not sure if that's true.

I really prefer Cook over Michel but if both end up at Miami I think Cook will play CB because there's no way Cook, Duke, Collins and Michel are in the same backfield.

Cooks brother is going to play ball here and Cook will eventually flip.

We are player for Gerald Willis III. He said he was coming down here to visit and said Speedy might come with him. I hope we get both but I doubt that. Would be nice to have a 2 out of 4 GWIII, Lorenzo Carter(one of our writers says we are in his top 3), Chad Thomas or Brown to go along with Clark,Moten or Travonte Valentine(any one know if he visited during Jr day?).

We are also in it for JC Jackson and Jacob McCrary(if we offer). I doubt Artavis Scott leaves the state.

I don't think we get Treon Harris and I doubt we offer Nigel Patten unless he grows a couple inches. .

I think Valentine sticks with UF, everybody is in for Carter so who knows where he goes.

The staff don't like McCary or Patten, JC Jackson will stick with FSU and Harris will be a Cane.

    That's because Holmes IS fast.

"Class of 2014 wide receiver Corey Holmes (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) came on late in the season for state champion St. Thomas Aquinas, but he took his recruitment to another level late last week. Holmes checked in at 6-foot-1 ¾ and 166-pounds and ripped off impressive times of 4.48 in the forty yard dash, 4.15 in the pro-agility shuttle and a blazing 6.72 in the L-cone. Throw in a 35.5-inch vertical and Holmes and Campbell were easily the two most impressive wide receivers prospects in the testing portion of the combine. "
