Probably nothing, I am not sure whether or not Michigan would pass them if they added Derrick Green and LaQuon Treadwell. USC has an unreal class.

It includes every commit, but I don't see anyone passing you.

Most likely USC stays at the top. But anyone in the top 5 or so could theoretically pass you if they get 3-4 more 5*s. Again, not likely. If they actually only count the top 20, then anyone getting 5*s as the 21st commit would simply bump out the lowest recruit. Again, not suggesting this will happen, but IF Bama were to sign the current list plus Tunsil, Henry, Foster (WR), and say...4* Demarcus Walker, that would probably do it. Walker and commit Altee Tenpenny are both right on the cusp of 5* status, as well. Same for UF, ND, etc. Michigan would qualify, but not sure they have room for that many more.

After a certain number of commits, they only add a miniscule amount of points.

They really do have a killer class but only being allowed to take so few has to be hurting them. If they were allowed to add more there is no reason to think they wouldn't be able to convince 5 more 4/5 stars to join up.

It counts all of them. The higher a commit is rated, the more points they're worth.

Like Hoke said, there is a minuscule amount for anyone after 20, though the top guys will bump lower guys into that category. How many are you guys taking? I don't think we've ever finished a class before Texas before, you guys have the cap space to move up.

I try and make myself care about such things, but I just can't. As long as we get the dudes at the top of our coaches board, then I'm happy. Whether that results in the #1, 4, or 12th ranked class, then so be it.

Bama has a real good shot and best chance of any team.

What's not being considered in this discussion is the fact that the individual rankings will change some. Players go up and down. If 3-4 of USC's go down and say 3-4 of Bama's go up, added with the fact that Bama will still add 5 or so guys and it's very possible. Probably not likely, but possible. The pure numbers have to affect USC's ranking at some point down the road. Man for man, no one will have a better 18 but I'd likely take the 25 Bama gets over the 18 USC gets. Not sure how that factors into the rankings at the end but you'd think the fact that Bama would have 6-7 more 4* caliber kids in the class would count for something. (Doesn't just mean Bama but they were the cited example and I ran with it)

Not to mention Tenpenny and Walker will both be five stars by next year, barring injuries.
