Recruits who were virtual locks to your school, only to commit

Justin Greene, who's brother Marcus played for the Bucks, switched on NSD to Illinois because they promised to play him at RB and we recruited him as a CB. He's now playing CB for Illinois.

Kris Frost
Just out of curiousity Auburn folks, is he playing or has he redshirted? I know you guys have a lot of young guys playing. Haven't seen anything about him, but I'm not on top of Auburn's depth chart and whatnot.

Messed up his shoulder in the summer workouts and is redshirted this year...we reallllyyyy coulda used him at linebacker

Because of FSU's popularity during the nineties combined with kids being sooooo new and naive to the process early on we have had a lot of five star juniors swear up and down they will be Noles and then 6-12 months later eliminate us.
Marvin Austin would be the lock that made it the farthest. Up until about 3 days before NSD it was KNOWN he was all FSU and then 2 days out our best insider at the time told us to worry about UNC, 1 day out he said he was a Tar Heel.

Jackson led the coaches on until he whipped out a Cal hat. Karma's a bitch. He got leveled in his first game against USC and never beat them.
Thomas basically got whisked away to Oregon the weekend before LOI day where Uncle Phil bought him. There's a picture of him at the airport coming home with Snoop's kid. DAT is wearing about a grands worth of Nike Oregon gear.
Teo's parents wanted ND for him and he's a good kid and went with their wishes. He seems to love it there. Father knows best.

I don't think Tony Steward was ever a lock. He was ready to commit to Clemson after his visit. I think FSU fans just thought he was a lock.

He was injured in pre-season practice. It is a season ending injury and he will get a medical redshirt.
