As of today, we got taken to school on the Latos trade. Hopefully he'll get his crap together. Right now, he's no different than Volquez. A guy who can't maximize his pitches and puts a strain on the bullpen with mixed results. I'd like to have Alonso back also because our bench is atrocious.

Latos just needs to get more consistent, he's shown flashes.

Volquez showed flashes as well. The problem with Latos is his ego. He is way too confident in his fastball because he runs it 95 to 96, but his placement is far from the best. He is only 24, but usually a headcase stays a headcase.

Ill take over confidence over lack of all day

In terms of natural ability Latos blows Volquez out of the park.

Has there ever been a more automatic out than the 2012 version of Miguel Cairo?

Reds need to do something with their bench. This is the weakest I've seen it in a long time. a 60 year old Cairo, Valdez who must believe getting a base hit is a bad thing....

I don't count Ludwick since he splits time with Heisey(I'm a big Heisey fan), but Ludwick has sucked as well. The only bright spot from Ludwick is he only gets hits when he can drive in runs

Yeah Cozart is solid. Janish would make some spectacular defensive plays but I'm more than happy to trade an A defender who's an F hitter with a B fielder and a B hitter.
