Paul is a superstar. He's super honest and would wipe obama in any discussion. College kids adore him. He would be able to speak honestly about things that other repubs can't.

Coming from an Obama supporter: Paul probably would have slaughtered Obama. No conservative would have voted for Obama, and he'd poach votes from typical Dem. demographics.

Paul was actually in tune. He seemed radical, but that was simply because he talked about stuff in the way others wouldn't talk about it. He gave Santorum and crew a history lesson on Iran and got booed for it. He did let go of the bible issues, yet it came back to bite him. Fiscally you could call him extreme, but he was conservative, that's for sure.

Paul showed what a healthy GOP could have accomplished. Unfortunately the GOP is not healthy. I will be voting Democratic by default until the Republicans fix their ridiculous on social/cultural issues.

You are in the minority. When he says that weed shouldn't be illegal bc it's not the govt's job, college kids will flock. He is true to small govt and kids love him.

The problem with the last couple Republican nominees is that they aren't really conservative. They have conservative social views, but not so much on anything else.

All the Republican's need is a good solid candidate next go around and all will be forgotten. Everyone knew Mitt Romney was about as lame as it gets for a nominee. If Chris Christie runs in 2016, he will be elected.

Maybe Christie could be. I don't know. Don't know what to think. I think we have a rockstar speech-giver of a president and that this country votes on racial and social lines ... like any country would, I guess. Disappointed as a Republican, but hopeful.

I agree. After arguably the worst 4 years of any presidential term, to not only lose but in embarrassing fashion says a ton about the overall message of republicans. I also agree that Conservatives needs to stop the religion rhetoric. If you're gonna be small governement you need to be extra small on social issues. It worked well for Bush but its a different time. I've been waiting on a true conservative and one hasn't emerged yet. The Conservative party really needs to chew on these results and revamp their strategy because its simply not working. I am a Christian who couldn't care less if a candidate is Christian. I couldn't care less if women have abortions. That's on their mind, not mine. I want a true conservative. Someone that will lower taxes, decrease government size and stay the hell out of my life. I do not agree with gay marriage but I support the right of a human being, being with whatever other human being they want as long as they are productive members of society. I thought Romney had a chance but I knew he wasn't te guy te party truly needed. Bush was a true conservative before morons like Karl Rove got ahold of him. Then he became a moderate, bible thumping fanatic. In the end, I'm doing just fine financially and physically. I'm not toot eerily upset about last nights outcome.

I think they need a direct move to center on social issues. Other than that, I think the conservative fiscal model is a good one.

Of course, of course. Myself and millions of other fiscal conservatives are wrong because we don't agree with your line of thinking. Typical. We don't need lower corporate taxes to bring more jobs. The wealthiest 1% don't really pay 90% of Taxes. I'm furious that I pay 20% on 100,000 while rich, whitey, job producer pays 10% on 1,000,000,000. Raising taxes on those that provide jobs always works.
