Since Saban has been there, how many 5***** DL guys have committed? Just curious so don't take it the wrong way

Good point. However, our base D is the 3 4, that in itself will not attract a lot of 5 star DL. But...you have to admit...the ones we get (4*) are pretty good.

The sharks wouldn't be vicious without their teeth either I guess? What in the heck do you mean...they are part of the team. That is why it is called a 3 4 DEFENSE. That is WHY you recruit DL who can hold two blocks. That is why you recruit huge LBers just in case the OL sheds his block. Not very many schools recruit LBers who are 6'4" and 260lbs. That is most schools DE. RTR!!!

not saying they arent strong bc they are but its mosly bc of staying low and filling gaps. i've coached this d for several years and i'll take a kid who will get low, fill his gap, and listen over a strong kid 95% of the time. thats y the lb's look so good is bc the front opens up holes for them to see when the dl fills the other gap's and make 2 take 1 guy
