As for Tunsil, same thing for UF. 30 minutes away, SEC, and we need OT's also (granted not as much as FSU) Kid just doesn't want to play in Florida which is weird. I feel like he is gonna bust anyways. I think he is just going to be an average run of the mill OT.

I agree, our OL recruiting is that of a pile of shit that has been rained on for days. Soft, slushy and stinky.

All 3 major sites right now are in epic meltdown mode and all the site writers look like total jackasses for trying to sell the hope of landing certain players that anybody with a brain knew were complete and total long shots

I would pay money to hear Trickett try to explain it to the media, this is where Jimbo's blackouts are really buying him extra time and his assistants too

Trickett should seriously be fired on the spot for many things, but not even getting a visit out of a Tunsil shows just how bad it truly is

IMO there is no excuse not to land him, but to not even get a visit is so pathetic its just funny

One of the excuses I read last night on Nole Digest was " he only likes to work with 10 or so guys at a time and get the most out of them " I still haven't stopped laughing since and that was around 10PM last night.... and no, he wasn't being sarcastic for I know the poster and his history

The best part though is the Canes think they got themselves a prize in Coley, next to Trickett he was the most worthless member of the Jimbo staff and they don't believe me when I say he was almost as poor of a recruiter

This isn't even on one Trick pony anymore, this is on Jimbo. Everyone knows the OL is a bad situation. Jimbo should have taken over the OL cruiting or fired Trickett. Either way it's Jimbos fault and if he doesn't change will be the reason he is fired within the next season or two.

Here's my take on it - both FSU and Bama are trying to build or maintain themselves as hard-nosed, physical OLs. Bama is already there and trying to stay there, and I think FSU is trying to get into that mold. At this point, I'd say this: the way schools like FSU, Bama and LSU - and Florida - try to do things ... well, it's not for everybody.

As for Trickett, I doubt your mind can be changed, but I still think the guy's a good coach. I coached a kid in HS that was a 4-yr starter for Trickett, and he loved him. Obviously not all do. Look at this way ... let's say Tunsil goes to Ole Miss. Or Georgia. Two perennially soft schools. It's not going to bother me at all. Means the kid is soft-minded and wouldn't make it.

Let him go pass block for 50 snaps a game, throw himself on the ground on screens, and be underdeveloped when he finishes (talking mainly Ole Miss here).

But I would agree that it's bad that FSU couldn't even get a visit. And your lack of OL commits/depth in this class is a little bit alarming, but that's on the whole staff and Jimbo. Even if you got Tunsil, you still only have two other OLs committed, assuming Golson stays, correct.
