Big time schools have unofficial practices in the spring. At least I know of a few that do In the DVC.
Spring ball is a huge reason the south is putting out so much talent

I think it helps in some ways.
I don't agree that is a major reason the South is putting out so much talent. IMO, the South is by far the most naturally talented region of the country, so they are starting from a great place IMO.
