If you don't think for the next decade that LSU/Bama will be one of the absolute biggest games of the year than you are nuts. Bama has dominated Auburn historically so what's your point?
We are talking about the now and if you think Tennessee is a "bigger" game because of the past than don't go to the LSU/Bama game, just to to the Bama/Tenn game and tell me which one is bigger over the next 10 years.

I think his point was that you can't really answer this question based on what you suspect will happen in the future. And going back 5 years doesn't really have enough history to it to define a rivalry. (and really, the current LSU/Alabama thing has only been huge for three years. 4 years ago Alabama was 7-6 on the year. 5 years ago Shula was still coaching).
From 2003 to 2007 the Auburn/LSU rivalry was much bigger than the Alabama/LSU rivalry. It's hard to look at only 4 or 5 year segments, as things tend to change so quickly in the SEC. Now if things remain exactly the same for the next 7 or 8 years, then yeah, by that time the rivalry will have a little history behind it.
As for our rivalry with Alabama...we were dominated by Alabama during Bear Bryant's tenure, no question, as was the entire SEC (he was an amazing 134-26-4 against the conference) . We actually had the best record against him of any SEC team. For the 22 games before Bryant, Auburn led 12-9-1. For the 28 games since Bryant, Auburn leads 16-12. So yeah, for 25 years, Alabama thoroughly dominated Auburn 19-6, but for the other 50 games of the rivalry, Auburn leads 28-21-1.

Exactly. No denying it.
An .829 winning % against the SEC over 25 years is ridiculous. It's one thing to go on a little streak for 3 or 4 years (like Tuberville was 21-3 from 04 to 06), but to do it for TWENTY-FIVE years is insane.
His only Achilles heel was Notre Dame and Texas. For some reason he couldn't get by them when he had a chance. (0-7-1)

Yes I do but if you think the Tenn game is bigger than the LSU game then I don't know what to tell you. The 90's have nothing to do with now. Not the players, coaches or any recruit that was to young to remember what happened in the 90s.
Would you rather beat Tenn or LSU? Do you see Tenn being any good, anytime soon? I bet your opinion changes in a few years on who your 2nd rival will be because Bama and LSU simply recruit to the level where the games force a rivalry... Even with not much history before 2000.

And you do realize that coaches leave, programs change, things happen. I'm not trying to say that the LSU/Bama series isn't a great one, it is for the last few years.
If you are asking me if I believe the Bama/Tenn game is a better rivalry than the Bama/LSU game, then my answer is Yes a hundred times over. The Bama/Tenn game is one of college football's greatest rivalries. Maybe you don't understand the bad blood between those 2 schools. Ask some Bama guys on this board about it.

Yeah from an older fans perspective. I highly doubt the kids there now see Tenn as a rival as they were to young to remember most of the stuff.
Agree to disagree, I just think the LSU/Bama game is wayyyyyyy bigger and more bad blood recently with Saban.
I may be dead wrong but I know damn well who the kids think is the bigger game.

LOL at Sparty practically begging to be our # 2...OK..You can be 2b...That better? Sparty hasn't done anything relevant since they won the Rose Bowl ONCE in the 80's and apparently that was done behind a LT that had more steroids pumped into him than every professional wrestler and Barry Bonds combined.
Your women are hot, but your football program is second fiddle to your own Basketball team. Your football program is arguably the 5th best sports program in the state behind Michigan Football, MSU Basketball, Michigan and MSU hockey and dare I even say Michigan Basketball.
You are the UCLA of the Pac 12, the Missouri of the Big 12...Good for a decent season every 10-15 years only to fall back to obscurity. Go away Little Giants your 15 mins are up
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

D+ flame. Not very original, especially coming from a fan of a school that has Ls to Toledo and Appalachian State (under Carr, no less). Glass houses my friend.
Oh, and no one has come up with a retort for the fact that Hoke has 2 countdown clocks running: one for tOSU, one for MSU. I think it's pretty clear who your top 2 rivals are.
