Rob Parker is the most racist journalist on tv IYAM. Every time a race issue comes up he just goes off in a wild direction. Was glad to see that Stephen A. Smith put him in his place on First Take today and basically told him to shut up.

He also said that he asked his journalist friends in Washington if he was a "brother" or a "cornball brother". Yeah, your not a little racist are you Rob? Dude has always been this way and he's going to get slammed for this one.

He also had a comment about RGIII wearing braids and that he didn't get it because that was basically for "urban" brothers.

FWIW as someone who has no reason to dislike or like Baylor or anything RGIII related, RGIII seems like a terrific person, regardless of race. He represents all pro althetes well, not just black ones.

And that is what RGIII was trying to say. That he was more than just a "black athlete". He sees himself as an athlete period. He didn't say that he resented being black or anything. He just said that he would rather be looked at for what he does in his profession and how well he does it; rather than being lumped in a group just because he's black.

Well Rob Parker of course wants him to come out and wear Malcom X t-shirts and "represent". RGIII is a highly intelligent and highly athletic dude. I have no problem that he just wants to be treated as a qb instead of a "black qb".

Yeah I couldn't believe Rob went there. Especially since he has never struck me as very pro black, urban, hood or whatever else you want to call it. Its like Bryant Gumble calling Drake soft. ESPN put out a statement saying that they will review it and discipline Parker.

As for hypocrites in this thread, when has a journalistic called someone a "wigger" or said someone was too white? But if by "wigger" you mean someone who acts urban/hood or whatever nobody complained about Jason Williams when he played in the NBA. I would have every bit as big a problem if someone got onto Dirk for his black fiance as I do with Parker for getting onto RG3 about his white fiance.

I would personally bash the journalist if it was the other way around. I'm assuming that I wouldn't be the only one either. Rob Parker is a racist and we have white journalists that are racist as well. I fvcking snapped on the journalist that called the Rutgers girl a "nappy headed hoe".

Calling a spade a spade is one thing, but RGIII doesn't deserve to be called out for not being black enough.

Parker was a Detroit media guy before he went to ESPN. Had a show called "Parker and the Man" locally. He's a shock jock analyist. And a complete douche.
