Eh, after hugging Bruce Springsteen and calling him his hero, I can't imagine he won't get ostracized by his own party like Romney did when he was running for the party ticket. Moderate Romney will turn into Moderate Christie. Perry blew it bad, his remarks are similar to Howard Dean, no chance either will ever run again. Rubio maybe, but I feel it'll probably be a Tea Party Candidate since after this election the Republican Party will concede to the Tea Party more power than ever before.

Moderate Romney would have been a MUCH closer race.

But the Republican party needs to wise up or it will never happen

Christie and Rubio will probably run against each other in the primaries, but their best bet would be to join together for the ticket.

For the Dems, I think Hillary is too old, but I can see any of these as possible for candidate and/or ticket: O'Malley, Cuomo, Kloubachar, Newsom, Villaraigosa, Castro.

I'd assume there would be typical geographical/philosphical splits for both tickets.

It wasnt a very close race, and Romney will be 69 years old the next time there is a Presidential election. His time is done.

Villaraigosa and Castro should be considered very strong possibilities. Unless the party philosophy shifts considerably back towards the center, the Republican game plan for 2016 will rely on taking a large percentage of the Hispanic bloc by running Rubio against a non-hispanic democratic candidate.

Villaraigosa is seeing a lot of airtime on a national level regarding Democratic commentary, and a Hispanic member of the Democratic ticket will force the Republican party to actually engage in a discussion of the issues and not just hype up the "We're running the Hispanic guy!" angle.

Romney was a terrible candidate all by himself:

putting his money in foreign bank accounts

His comments about 47 percent of the population being bums

refusing to release his tax returns

constant flip flops

You really can't blame this election on Paul Ryan. Mitt Romney was just a bad candidate, and the Republican Party platform drives away every single group they need to attract in order to be a viable political party going forward.

Rubio - to get the dominant Hispanic vote

Sure, if the pubs want to lose again.
