Romney had a strong showing; will he be the candidate...

  • No. Losing candidates just don't get another chance. Al Gore had a pretty strong showing in 2000, but it was Kerry who ran in 2004 for the Dems.

  • Romney was a terrible candidate. He was a liberal, who flip flopped to being a "severe conservative," who moderated his position by not giving any details about how he would govern. What the *** was that?

I usually vote for Dems, but I would absolute love to have a reasonable, moderate Republican to support. No crazy Bible thumpers like Santorum, conspiracy theorists like Bachmann, or Tea Partiers.

Good luck with that. There are a handful of Conservative pundits saying Romney lost because he "wasn't conservative enough," while completely ignoring Romney's embrace of Tea Party politics.

Rubio - to get the dominant Hispanic vote

I really think that it's Preisdent or bust for Rubio. He would be a great billing for VP (especially if there is a Northern or Western moderate on there as well), but I think he sees his career better as a master of the senate and not a possible undercard.

  • It needs to be Christie or Rubio, but both aren't crazy enough to get nominated. The republicans need to change their ways and actually nominate the best candidate instead of the one who caters to the extreme right.

  • I will say one thing, we know now given the circumstances, Southerners have no problem voting for a Mormom/Catholic, Yankee/Midwestern ticket.
