There is no more polarizing political figure than Obama. Never has been.

You mean this countries problems aren't caused by the rich not paying their fair share?

Really? Look at just about every poll out there. Mitt is underwater with his unfavorable ratings in every one in contrast Obama is above water.

  • Well this was my second choice behind Rubio.

Rubio would have BEEN SO MUCH BETTER for him. Lock up florida; conservative but not "right-wing social engineering" conservative; latino; young and smart; and TBH he's a straight-shooting, good politician.

I don't know what Romney camp was thinking.

Im fine with this though. I think he offers solutions in a time where the current senate hasn't put a budget out in 3 years bc they are to busy giving away vibraters in NY. 1/3 of the country is on on welfare and that's not changing with the current administration.

Why don't you tell me what polls mean 3 months before the election. They tell me carter would have been re-elected, bush 41 was a shoe in, gore win, kerry easy win. So tell me oh wise one. What do these polls you read matter. My $ is on rommney.

  • Why are people so afraid of Ryan. He is the only person in congress who has a plan to reduce the overall debt. He isn't afraid to back it up with facts. He is the smartest congressman on both sides, and everyone is scared to go head to head with him in a debate. Look at what he did to Obama in just 6 minutes of debate on the Obamacare issues. He made Obama look like a bummbling idiot. People hate him and mock him because he has the guts to stand up and say we need to change entitlement structures. Name me one other democrat or republican who has done that.

I'm not sure Rubio wanted on the ticket. I think Rubio is planning a 2016 run, and didn't want to be a part of what looks like a losing ticket right now

I agree, he is the most serious Congressman on either side. The Dems love to throw rocks at his solution, while providing no solutions of their own.

If I'm Romney I don't use the word CUT all election season. Use FREEZE. Freeze spending instead of saying cut. With baseline budgeting spending programs are set to increase 5-10% each year. It's built in. The Dems bitch about cutting from an increase in spending basically and the media gets the point out Republicans want to take away programs. I think if you use freeze it's harder to poke holes in it.

  • Yeah Twice Ryans's budget has passed the House and not passed the Senate. Ryan then went out and blasted Congress again because they failed to provide a budget for last year. Democrats use broad strokes to tear down his plan without ever giving any feedback or alternative. Facts are these people, the only way to save this government and this country from going down like France and Greece is to make some very hard and smart choices. Ryan doesn't care about politics or making friends, he is a numbers guy who knows we have to make tough choices ahead.

House Dems introduce $3.6T budget plan

The proposal is not expected to pass, but provides Democrats an opportunity to distinguish their policy priorities from Republicans. House Democrats on Monday night introduced their 2013 budget plan to compete with the Republicans' proposal on the chamber floor this week.

The progressive caucus and some other Dems.

The bill has to reach the floor for a vote first. It is a lot harder than it sounds for obvious FUBAR reasons.

Edit: in 2011 they voted on it and it got shut down by every Republican and almost half the Dems. Not in party-line sadly, but a proposal nonetheless. There hasn't been a 2012 vote yet, I don't think.

  • Fact, Obama budget proposal in 2012 was a mockery and a horrible idea. The republicans called him on it, and thus sent his proposed budget to the house to be voted upon. Amazingly the vote was 414-0. Not one democrat would even vote for his budget, because they knew it was a sham, and that if they voted for it they would have no chance of ever getting re-elected. This was this year people, and yet fools still think Obama has a plan to take America out of the recession. It's like the blind leading the blind.

If the Republicans wanted to nominate Ryan for president them they just should of nominated him. Instead you are just using him to validate a terrible top of the ticket candidate.
