It's midnight, I aint reading CBO reports. If it includes the 500B then they aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Arguing Obamacare does social good is something I can fully understand. Arguing that its going to reduce the deficit is ridiculous IMO.

The 500B comes from a reduction in baseline spending over the next ten years. Not sure what's so unbelievable about that? shrug

Cmon, the CBO isn't an independent non-partisan entity. All their data showing that Obamacare will reduce the deficit was created by the Left-wing conspiracy that is ruining our country with their fascist-socialism.

I read on "The Blaze" that the CBOs primary job is tracking all the gun owners so Obama can take our guns after he rigs the next election. There is no way the most divisive president ever in the history of the world (worse than HItler or Stalin!) is 7-8% points ahead of a Businessman that understands economics. Obama created a $15trillion deficit all by himself. This isn't some type of 30 year trend in government spending!

Also read that Obama is replacing our national anthem with "The Internationale".

This is all true because I read about it on the internet.

Statistical data and empirical research contrary to my political preconceptions is always wrong, except when that data confirms my preconceptions, then it is always infallible proof.

PS. you can't argue with stupid. Stupid always wins....

  • I love it. They look good. They don't make idiotic statements about raising the handicapped from wheel chairs.

Might be the best post I've ever read here, especially the first two paragrahs.

  • The CBO is using the cut of 500B in"waste, fraud, and abuse" because they are being told to. I am stating that those reductions won't happen, because if they could they already would have.

You got it wrong. 357 of the 500B comes from reduced outlays in hospitalization expenses and raised medicare payroll taxes alone.

By the way, improper payments alone---payments to the wrong person, for the wrong amount or for the wrong reason---cost about $48B/yr alone.

Your last assertion assumes that whatever governmental agency governs Medicare payments/accounting etc. is given the authority, permission,or funding to properly manage these reductions. What's the point of reform if there isn't something to reform?

  • Just for comparison, if we had just cut our $711B military budget by $100B/yr.*, this whole bill would have been paid for. Simple "guns versus butter" dilemma (also could be used for any similar healthcare versus military spending theoretical dilemma).

*Note that the new military expenditure of $611B would still be very much larger than the next largest (China's $143B).
