I really believe that time for Corey Grant. Saw him win the 2009 Alabama 6A 100 Meter Dash Championship and Corey had 1-1.5 yards on 2 guys that were legit 4.3x guys by the time they got to around the 40 yard mark. He may not be the fastest football player in the country over 100 meters but I honestly think he could beat Jeff Demps at 40 yards.
Pause the attached video at around the 9 second mark and see the lead he has in the Finals at this juncture. Kid's start is sick.
Solomon Patton-Florida (Lane 3 starting the count from the infield) finished 2nd and Dee Milliner-Bama (Lane 2 starting the count from the infield) 4th in this race. I know Milliner has run hand-time 4.3x.

"All surfaces" tracks are not the same in terms of sprint times yielded. Example: I'm training a kid (25 year old man...kid to me) that is blazing fast. I timed him at Wheeler High School in Marietta, GA on Field Turf and he ran 4.56 & 4.58. After he recovered, I then timed him on the track that surrounds the football field. He ran 4.37 & 4.39 on the track. Heck even all "Track & Field Tracks" aren't the same. which is why the IAAF Track Governing Body does a more advanced test of what I described below to ensure tracks aren't too hard and thus illegal as they [hard tracks] augment sprint times too much.
Couple Quick Points -Lucas Oil Field times on average .07 slower than the old RCA Dome. It's a softer, slower surface -Chris Johnson's time at Lucas Oil would be 4.31 instead of the 4.24 at the RCA Dome.....and honestly, his 4.24 wasn't legit as his hand-times were all slower than his 4.24 electronic time.....and that hardly ever happens.Meaning, it was likely an error. Johnson ran track in high school against the likes of Trindon Holliday and Walter Dix and they always smoked him. He's not suddenly faster than Holliday and Jacoby Ford over 40 yards. See the link. -To compare surfaces [to detect which will yield faster sprint times] drop a ballistic ball from a specific height....say 4 ft and measure the height of the bounce. Then drop the ball on the comparative surface and measure the bounce. The surface that yields the higher bounce will yield faster sprint times -Wind readings can impact 40 times by as much as .2-.3 -Shoes impact times -Temperature -Barometric Pressure -Altitude
There are sites online where you can enter the above specific conditions and it will tell you the impact it has on sprint times (most formulas are Corrections for 100m Sprint Times)
Personally, I don't care whether you believe what I say or not. You trying to tell me about Sprint Times is like me trying to tell Tom Brady or Peyton Manning how to play QB in the NFL. So again...I really don't care what you think. I stated what my 27 years of being involved with track as a sprinter and then as a coach has taught me.
Done..on this topic. Nothing like someone that has 0 clue trying to tell you something about a sport in which you can quote times, various topics on in your sleep.
Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear.

Don't know why you act all pissed.
But regardless. Grant. Therezie and Coates dis not run sub 4.3's laser times today.
Always enjoy your posts. You know what you're talking about. But three freshman are not the 3 fastest men in all of football.
