Russia: What is up with those guys?

  • They have some guy named Putin that is basically dictator.

    I never here of anybody vacationing there. Nobody studies abroad there. All there sports teams blow. No rock gods from there.

    They seem to have more coastline than basically anyone yet I can't name a single awesome beach resort.

    Is the place just a barren wasteland or something?

    Correct if I'm wrong but although there is a ton of wealth is Moscow, income equality is huge with very few people having vast industrial-based fortunes. If you want an example of crony capitalism, Russia is it.

    Yeah it really is an oligarchy. Income inequality is enormous in Russia. Most people were honestly a lot better living under Brezhnev then under Yeltsin/Putin.

    Almost all of the resources which were owned by the state under USSR rule were divested into the hands of a relatively small amount of people. Probably don't hear a lot about Russian companies because most of them don't compete well globally, and most of the larger ones are in Mining or Heavy Industry and not consumer goods.

    They also party 100x harder than we do in America, alcohol is on tap, anyone can get their hands on drugs by simply raising your hand, etc.

    I majored in Russian and did a study abroad over there. Beautiful country.

    The Black Sea is pretty much the beach resort.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

    I have no idea if this is true or not and it's sounds absurdly conspiracy theoryish, but the person who first told me about the stuff told me the us govt actively tries to keep it on the dl here for fear of the scumbag. Sector of our population getting on it.

    Either way... Stuffs crazy.

    It is definitely not the "meth" of heroin. If anything, you could say Heroin is the "Meth" of Opium. Real Meth is its own chemical combination and drug. Not just three or four things you buy at a local store and cook up real quick.
