i guess thats the point of everyone's frustration - if he just swam his semi he maybe should not have been racing at all ; why in the world would you have someone in that situation swimming the last leg ? Just disappointed with what happened is all

The TEAM didn't come up short. Lochte did. Him saying "we" makes it look like the whole team was bad, and that wasn't the case.

got taken behind the wood shed as the anchor on the 4x100 relay... first three guys got and kept a lead.... Lochte entered water 1/2 body length ahead and finished 1/2 body length behind

No medal for Lochte in the 200m freestyle. Looks like he spent the last 4 years with one goal in mind - beating Phelps in the 400m IM.
